Brilliant-again!
Our 2nd visit to this simply stunning Cabin. Location, outstanding, comfort, outstanding, peace, outstanding. Not much more I can say really. I can guarantee a 3rd visit from us.

Beautiful forest hideaway
We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this stunning and cosy log cabin. I looked at the photos which are lovely but when we arrived we were in awe of the spacious feel to the cabin! Our small children ran around exploring and jumped with joy at the beauty of the cabin! My Peter Rabbit fan found this the perfect place to watch "squirrel nutkins" - red squirrels in our view every day. We were visited at night by not one but two deer as they enjoyed the grass around the cabin. As a lover of wildlife these two sightings absolutely made it for me! The location feels private and quiet yet it's so close to the beautiful Hermitage walk and lots to explore in Dunkheld. We prioritised the Beatrix potter exhibition for my children and it was a hit. The cabin was so clean and comfortable, we particularly appreciated the blanket on the sofa as our visit was cooler than we expected it to be weather wise but not quite cold enough to use the stove. The small selection of books and toys helped to entertain my toddlers whilst we were getting dinner on in the evenings. I made use of the local guides, leaflets and maps - very much appreciated!! I loved it so much we've booked to return next year to explore more of the surrounding area and to enjoy the cabin once again. If covid settles down, an earlier check in time would be beneficial for settling small children as their bedtime is early and we had an overtired 3 yr old first night but we totally appreciate the requirement for deeper cleaning etc. Apart from that it was truly a magical experience!

Proper Scandinavian lodge .
When we arrived a deer was in the garden . Nice welcome . An hour later and two arrived with a foal . Then three red squirrels kept us amused . If you want wildlife literally on your door step this is for you . Homely lodge with all you need . Had a fab time . Would like to return at some point .

Lovely cabin in a great location
Just had a lovely stay. The cabin is open plan and modern but has some lovely touches that makes it very unique. We were delighted with all the unexpected extras, including beautiful fresh flowers. You feel very remote here, and we had lots of wildlife visiting us, including red squirrel, birds, and deer. It was stocked with logs, barbecue coal, bird feed, and everything else we needed for our stay. When available, you can also order a veg box from the owners. Lovely to arrive to freshly picked peas! Location wise it's perfect. You can walk from the cabin into Tay Forrest, which to our son's delight has mountain bike routes. The cabin is also really close to Dunkeld, The Hermitage, Loch Tay, Aberfeldy and many other lovely places. It's also perfect for doing outdoor activities, we had a great day trying out some watersports on Loch Tay. Great cabin, hosts, and holiday location. Missing our red squirrel visits already.

Fantastic
We had a three day stay at the cabin and loved every minute. The location was stunning, easy to find with given directions. The cabin itself is gorgeous, warm, clean and contained everything that we needed so need to pack the extras, hair dryer etc. I would high recommend trying here to anyone and can’t wait to return

Do not hesitate to book
We were lucky enough to spend 4 days at this amazing Kabin tucked away in the gorgeous Dalguise countryside. Having read previous reviews were we already excited to visit and we were not disappointed. It’s simply beautiful. Clean, warm, well equipped and in a quiet tranquil spot. I cannot wait to rebook and unwind again. A real gem.

The cabin is stunning inside. fantastic location surrunded by nature. The cabin is spotlessly clean, comfy, spacious, warm and extremely well equipped. Fia is very helpful and friendly. It is simply beautiful, we will come on a regular basis. Absoluely love it. P.S: we are very fussy people and this place surely caters for fussy guests.

A little Haven
This was our second time at the cabin for a wonderful trip. We visited in February this year and then again more recently in September. Both times we spotted red squirrels and deer. Our family love it here, it’s a home from home with a very comfortable and cosy atmosphere. We had everything that we needed and were able to completely unwind and relax. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and some peace and tranquility. Just beautiful!

About the neighborhood
The Cabin is situated on our working small holding (Kirk Park Farm). We have free range poultry, pigs and sheep, and we hope you will enjoy having a look around and interacting with our animals. Complimentary eggs from our flock of chickens are available most of the year. We are based in the small hamlet of Dalguise, once the summer holiday residence for Beatrix Potter and her family. On our smallholding there is also a market garden business (Homegrown Food and Flowers). Fresh salad, flowers and vegetables are available in season.

How to get there
From the A9 take the B898 to Dalguise. Go along for 3 miles. Pass the green Dalguise village sign and take the next road on your left immediately after a stone cottage. Follow the road up the hill and around a sharp bend to the left. Then follow the track across a stream and up the hill. Go straight ahead on the track past the red house, past the barn and down the hill. The log cabin is on your right -just follow the track as it curves around.
