Porthole Cottage is ideally situated on the edge of North Hill overlooking the sea. The cottage is in a quiet, secluded location yet only few minutes walking distance from the beach and pubs and restaurants as well as the high street shops. It is a great base for walking/cycling on Exmoor or visiting the local attractions such as Dunster Castle and the West Somerset Railway or just relaxing on the sandy beach....Porthole Cottage is ideally situated on the edge of North Hill overlooking the sea. A fantastic place to stay up on the hill which overlooks a lovely sea view. The cottage is in a top location which is only a few minutes away from the town. I’d recommend anyone to stay here for a superb seaside getaway.

About the neighborhood
Traveling west out of Minehead are the picturesque villages of Selworthy & Allerford, Porlock & Porlock weir and Lynton & Lynmouth. There are 'safari' excursions across Exmoor looking at the herds of deer and Exmoor ponies. Wimbleball Lake lies approximately 15 miles inland which offer fishing and various watersports facilities. The nearby village of Dunster with its medieval castle and quaint shops & cafes, is well worth a visit.
