You will receive a warm welcome at St. Mary's, a comfortable, modern, informal place to stay, enjoying lovely views over the Otter Valley. You can relax in peace as we have just one bedroom (with ensuite bathroom), which can sleep three people + a child on a temporary bed (for a small additional fee) or an infant in a cot (either can be provided). Two of the three single beds in the bedroom can be zip-linked together to form a superkingsize bed. Your accommodation downstairs consists of a shower room and spacious living room, with kitchen corner: fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob, grill/oven, kettle etc. Self-service breakfast available (extra charge). Award winning for quality of accommodation and breakfast. Very suitable for families, walkers and cyclists.

Amazing hospitality, Bec and David were very helpful and the accomodation was great, very roomy and great views. Breakfasts were delicious. This is somewhere we would definitely come back to, maybe in the summer next time.

We recently had a lovely two night stay at St. Marys whilst we visited Sidmouth and Exmouth. It is located in the small village of Tipton St. John just a short drive away from Sidmouth. Also a short distance away is the village of Ottery St. Mary which has a supermarket and petrol station. However, there are other supermarkets and a petrol station in Sidmouth, too, so we are within easy reach of all necessities, as well as in a good location for touring the local area, as you point out. Excellent rural setting with spacious modern accommodation, benefiting from the local gastro pub just 5 minutes from the door, coupled other great eating houses with 15 minutes drive. Hospitality exceeds expectations as did the facilities the quality of which are second to none. We will definitely be seeking to revisit, so wil not laud too much just in case they are no vacancies when we next wish to visit.

Travelling from junction 29 (Exeter) of the M5, turn left onto the A30 towards Honiton. Turn off at the Daisymount junction and follow the signs for Ottery St. Mary. Follow the one-way system to the Sidmouth road (by Rosey’s Chippy). Travel through Wiggaton then at a cross-roads turn right for Tipton St. John. Follow the road down until you get to Hayne Hill on your left (The Old Smithy is on the corner). Turn into Hayne Hill and follow up the hill to a small cross-roads. Turn left into Seaway Lane then left again into Hayne Close. St. Mary's is at the end of the cul-de-sac on the left (white triple garage; solar panels on the roof). Pull in onto the parking area with the hedge to your right and the car facing the grass.
