Ballater, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Aberdeen Cottage enjoys an enviable location, not just for its views in all directions, but also for its accessibility into the Cairngorm mountains and to the coast with the delightful and picturesque harbour villages like Stonehaven.

Loch Ness, of course, is also not far away and a trip there allows you the opportunity of travelling on the fantastic "road to Tomintoul" which must be one of the most scenic roads in the whole of Scotland ?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aberdeen Cottage. The property is very clean and comfortable, and is of a high standard, with everything that you need and more! The wifi connection was excellent too - we were able to all be online at the same time and also connect to Netflix, which we subscribe to. The location is very convenient - just a short stroll into Ballater via the cycle path at the back of...

Thank you so much for your wonderful review - you certainly fitted a lot into your stay. Delighted you enjoyed the general area so much - those are reasons we own the cottage having fallen in love with that part of Scotland many years ago. Hopefully you will come back again sometime in the future.

Fabulous private cottage in the most beautiful setting. Stunning scenery. The cottage is warm, well equipped even to entertainment for the whole family. Ballater has all the facilities you need. A definite recommendation. A return visit is a must.

We received a warm welcome to this lovely cottage. It is in a great location with fantastic views of wooded hillsides, mountains and the mighty river Dee. The cottage is comfortable, clean and has every luxury you could wish for. It was lovely to return there at the end of each day after exploring the (snow covered) Cairngorms, scenic Glen Tanar on horses and lots of other great places in and around the vicinity. Ballater...

The cottage has everything that you could want. The ground floor is really spacious with a lovely large, light and well eqipped kitchen/living room, plus a separate dining room and lounge . There are views from all the rooms and the road is surpisingly quiet. A cycle/walk path into town or out towards Aboyne is just behind the cottage.

We stayed here February half term. The cottage is very nice, super clean, warm and comfortable. We had a brilliant week. We came mainly to ski at Glenshee which is fantastic but found that we loved Ballater - there are lots of nice walks nearby, including a great off road path into town - bike hire which is brilliant value, great shops and cafes. Such a nice place. The arrangements for getting in and leaving...
