Warm and welcome, that’s a fact, They really are a first class act, Nothing will be too much trouble, They’ll wrap you in their Charente bubble. Maison St Louis, full of grace, It really is a wonderous place, What really makes this place so cool, It has to be that glorious pool. Darts and ping pong you can play, Or even get fit whilst you stay, One things for certain we believe, You’ll surely never want to leave. If you stay here you’ll find yourself, That’s just a fact, that’s life Itself, It really does have all you’ll want, This tranquil part of South Charente. We stayed at Le Campis and were made to feel very welcome. The owners were in the middle of some major renovations to the gites and pool area but did their best to accommodate us, giving us some portable heaters as heating system was included in the renovations. Gite was well equipped with everything you might expect if you wished to cater for yourselves. The renovations were still in progress but it will look spectacular when complete and we can' wait to go back and see the completed works.

We stayed for a week at the end of August and we can't wait to return! This was such a relaxing place to be for a week - peaceful, calming, rejuvenating and with no choice but to take things slowly, relax and enjoy fantastic family time. Great games room, plenty of places to sit and relax, lovely pool which we all used every day and lovely spacious grounds for the children to play in safely. Our hosts Jane and Lee were friendly and approachable throughout our booking process and in the run-up to our arrival, with our questions about the accommodation and the journey and continued to be so during our stay. They were very welcoming and were happy to help us with any questions during our stay. The owners told us they had recently bought the complex and were excited about the improvements they have planned, we have no doubt they will achieve great results and we’re looking forward to using the new pool this year. That said, the accommodation has lots of original features which add to the charm of staying in a gite, such as the original floorboards, thick stone walls, grand windows & frames. We loved the charm of the accommodation and the welcoming atmosphere. On the recommendation of our hosts, we visited Aubeterre Sur Dronne. A beautiful town, with historic sites as well as the lovely river to paddle and swim in and a big play area. We didn't really see very much else as we were more than happy to spend time relaxing at Maison St Louis. Very much looking forward to returning this year. The selection of accommodation here would suit large groups/families, smaller families and couples.

We were lucky enough to stay in the Campis in September this year. We had never been to this part of France before but had heard good reports and we were not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by the owners. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. We were shown to our apartment which was lovely. It was beautifully presented. Spotlessly clean and tidy. On top of this they had provided us with a thoughtful welcome pack and a bottle of fizz which was much appreciated and just what we needed after a long journey. This place was certainly worth the long drive. The games room was a great place to unwind of an evening. We spent quite a few evenings just relaxing and enjoying the facilities. The pool was closed at the time of our visit but we were made aware of this before we arrived. The grounds surrounding the accommodation are lovely. The property is nestled in a truly beautiful part of France. We will definitely be returning next year. We cannot fault the wonderful hospitality of the owners and they made our stay all the more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Stayed to visit family in the local area. Received a wonderful welcome and a very welcome hamper with coffee and tea which was very much appreciated. Property was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Owners were very happy for us to come and go as we pleased even though we were rather late in one night. Facilities amazing would be a fantastic place to stay in the summer with a newly refurbished pool. Looking forward to coming back.
