Cottage
Riversdale Cottage has been fully renovated to the highest standard with solid oak finishings throughout, offering guests luxury and homely accommodation. The quaint one bedroom cottage in the style of a dutch barn is located less than a mile, about a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive from the popular village of Mumbles well known for its boutique shops, restaurants, castle and beaches.
Set well back from the road in tranquil gardens next to a stream, the cottage has been finished to an exceptional standard.
A balcony at the rear of the property gives you access to the patio and a peaceful area to relax in, with table and chairs and a brick built barbecue.
The lounge has French doors that open up onto the balcony where you can listen to the relaxing sound of the birdsong and brook.

Ideal location for exploring The Mumbles on foot
A fully equipped cottage meeting all our needs; lovely little sun trap of a courtyard back garden and balcony overlooking the multiple layers of tree canopies. Short walk to the seafront with another 5-10 minutes walk to all the attractions of The Mumbles. Great to have off road parking with the cottage. A very enjoyable holiday and I will look to stay at this cottage again.

Mumbles and Gower visit
Good location to visit and explore the Gower Peninsula, lovely walks, views, sights, history, plenty of restaurants and pubs in Mumbles.
Accommodation clean, well equipped, good base to allow us to undertake all of the above, slightly disappointed with bed mattress, hard, and whilst location good did not expect to find it on a housing estate albeit at the top of a private drive.

I guess opinions on Mattresses are subjective, some people prefer a firm mattress. No other guest has ever mentioned it being an issue? However, it has been replaced.
The property is not on a housing estate? It sits in a residential area, typical of most of Mumbles and 5-10 minutes walk to the seafront.

Great location for a break from home and driving!
Beautiful accommodation, well located with friendly owners. Lovely to be able to walk to a good selection of beaches and restaurants. Plenty of choice nearby. Worth getting in the car to head down into the Gower, particularly Rhosilli and the Worms Head. However you can walk to the High Street, pier, Bracelet Bay, Llanglands and Caswell and probably further. Footgolf was a good laugh up near the Lido.

Beautiful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. High quality, airy & everything you need for a relaxing stay. Upside down living makes the most of the views, & the balcony & courtyard are perfect for sitting & listening to birdsong & the nearby stream. Plenty of room for the four of us (2 adults & 2 children). Great location for a walk to the high street, or a drive to one of many stunning beaches. Can highly recommend Rhossili bay, Three Cliffs, & Caswell bay. Chris was very welcoming & suggested a trip to Folly Farm, Tenby with the children which they really enjoyed (a farm, zoo & vintage fairground all on one site). Really couldn’t have asked for more & the children are already asking when we can stay at Riversdale cottage again! We will definitely return.

Lovely place
A gorgeous one bed detached house wonderfully fitted with hard wood floors and doors, also with its own mini patio and bbq. About 15 mins walk to the sea and shops.
The best beaches are a drive/bus/cycle away.

Great location, lovely holiday home.
A great location for walking into the Mumbles - its a wee bit of a climb back up but if you're fit and well it makes for great exercise. The accommodation was ideal for us - only 2 of us but there is also a sofa bed in the lounge area, but we felt 2 was ideal for the size of the property. We loved the upside down arrangement, with the lounge and kitchen upstairs, and bedroom, bathroom and handy laundry room downstairs. It made us think why they don't make more properties in this style! French doors from the upstairs lounge on to a small balcony were ideal when warm, and whole area is very private and peaceful - lovely sounds come from the nearby stream and birds nesting in the surrounding trees. All facilities you could want for your stay are provided, and instructions are very clear. Private on site parking very handy! Mumbles very busy so we walked when staying close to the area, including heading down to Rotherslade and Langland Bays. Lovely walks to be had. The high street ha a handy m&s food hall as well as a Tesco Express if you fancy eating in. But lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around too. Recommend Rhosili Bay and Worms Head as well as Three Cliff Bays when taking car - beautiful views! Port Eynon is a lovely little village not too far away by car with a great pub. Would definitely return and definitely re-book this delightful coastal home.
