Paphos, Paphos District
Cosy 2-bedroom townhouse/ maisonette conveniently located within walking distance from the city centre (5 minutes) where the shops and agora (market) are, 5-minute walk to Kings Avenue Mall and 10-minute walk to the nearest beach. Part of a complex of maisonettes and apartments with access to a communal swimming pool. The balcony next to one of the bedrooms faces the sea to the right and the Axiothea hotel built on a cliff's edge on the left, while the other bedroom has a view to the swimming pool. A recently renovated townhouse with expensive marbles and tiles in kitchen, living room and staircase. Very well maintained and clean. Shops, restaurants, bars and night-clubs, super-markets and kiosks are all available within a short walking distance. The new Kings Avenue Mall is just 5 minutes walk away. Bus stop just across the street wi... Read more

Service could have been better but to be fair to the agent we did not communicate our concerns at the time.
In saying that the house and facilities were first class in a central area we had a hired car but it was close to the main bus routes.
Could have done with WI-Fi as roaming charges in Cyprus are high.

Management response:

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we strive to offer a high quality service at all times. The instructions to the house refer to Laiki Bank, which became Bank of Cyprus, that is why instructions did not match. It has been changed now and instructions are accurate again. Hope to see you again next time you will be...

About the neighborhood
Paphos has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. It was a centre of the cult of Aphrodite and of pre-Hellenic fertility deities. Aphrodite's mythical birthplace was here, where her temple was erected by the Mycenean Greeks in the 12th century BC.<BR>The remains of villas, palaces, theatres, fortresses and tombs of the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods mean that Paphos is of exceptional architectural and historic value. So much that the whole city of New (Nea) Paphos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mosaics of Nea (New) Paphos are among the most beautiful in the world. The port of Paphos was rebuilt by Nicocles, the last king of Paphos, at the time of Alexander III of Macedon. Airport: Paphos Airport: 14.3 mi
From Paphos airport, take the highway to Paphos, then at the entrance of Paphos where a big round-about is, turn left (you will see MacDonalds on your left after you turn). At the next round-about go right into the city centre, keep going straight until you reach the second set of traffic lights (at Kennedy Square). You will have passed a row of classical buildings of Gymnasiums and Lyceums (High Schools) on your right and the City Hall and Municipal Library on your left. At Kennedy Square is the Paphos Police Headquarters. At these traffic lights turn left, going towards Kato Paphos.
