This beautiful, luxuriously refurbished independent apartment is part of a historic manor that has belonged to our family for more than three centuries. Consisting of two bedrooms (one of them en suite) and a kitchen/living room, the apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people and is ideal for couples with children or for people seeking tranquility and privacy.
The manor is located inside an old estate of about 70 acres-including the Grava olive grove with its' 400 years old trees- and a forest. Beautiful picturesque beaches are only a 5 min. drive from the estate.

Perfect retreat
Our stay has been exceptional.
What made our stay so special were Spiros & Loukia the owners (and hosts). From meeting us in the village and showing us one of the local restaurants and supplying a well stocked fridge nothing was too much trouble. Our first breakfast of “Homemade jams”, bread, milk and fresh fruit was exquisite.
To have an opportunity to stay in part of the old Manor House surrounded by Olive Trees and Forest should not to be missed. The location is perfect with Sandy beaches 10 mins away to the West and superb restaurants overlooking the sea 10 mins to the East.
A great way to destress.

Perfect place to stay
My husband, young son and I stayed for 10 nights and had a wonderful time. The house is a beautiful 250 year old Greek ‘farm house’ but finished to Avery high standard inside. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The house is away from other premises so is blissfully peaceful and private. The house is surrounded by an olive grove and wildflower meadow - late Spring is a lovely time to go. The owners, Loukia and Spiros are very welcoming, helpful and kind. They had stocked the fridge and cupboards with homemade and local produce to last us for our first day or so - we were grateful that we didn’t have to dash out to do a food shop after a long journey. They provided toys for the beach for our son which was a thoughtful touch. Very conveniently the nearest supermarket is only a few miles down the road and the local sandy beach (10 minute drive) was almost deserted in May - perfect for us. I would highly recommend a stay at the house.

Perfect in every detail
We have spent one week in the Roumanades estate with two kids. The estate is located in the middle of the narrowest part of Corfu island, therefore both sandy and pebbly beaches are accessible (10 minutes by car). Also shops and restos are easily accessible with a short ride. The estate itself is really picturesque surrounded by olive trees with a Tuscany style house in the middle. Both the inside and the outside of the house is kept authentic with the highest attention to detail. Everything is available which you would need for an island holiday. Definitely the nicest part of all the estate is the porch where the leaves provide shadow for those who want to enjoy relaxation. Finally we should not forget the hospitality of the owners, Loukia and Spiros and the warm welcome on their side. In bref, everything was perfect, nothing was missing to have an unforgettable holiday. We will definitely return!

Exceeding my expectations
I had read the previous reviews of guests who had stayed at Roumanades and was impressed and looking forward to our stay there. But as my title says they exceeding my expectations. The house was extremely comfortable, very well equipped and the starter pack much more than comprehensive. This was our first trip to Corfu and we planned to explore but as previous guests found we just stayed put and enjoyed the ambience of Roumanades.
The house is conviently located for beaches and we would recommend the Isos beach and Taverna Ammolofos, which is route to the beach.

Gorgeous, classic Corfiot building with modern conveniences
We stayed at Roumanades over Easter, 2018. We booked based on reviews and took a chance, and we are delighted that we did. It is even better than the pictures. The four of us (children aged one and four) had a perfect holiday. The house is beautifully furnished and is the perfect mix of feeling classical whilst having all modern conveniences.
The location feels like you are in the middle of nowhere and the children could run free, but at the same time a supermarket ten minutes down the road means you can easily get anything you need.
Loukia and Spiros went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable (see the other reviews for details of the wonderful and generous food etc) and we had everything we wished for. If you are looking for a classic, Greek island experience with nature all around you, days in the sun and silent star-filled nights, this is what you're looking for. Thank you Loukia and Spiros!

A truly exceptional and beautiful place to stay
We stayed at the Roumanades Estate and it was quite exceptional. The house is quite beautiful - surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees and nature. It is in a very quiet location. Inside the house is super comfortable and unpretentious. Lovely old furniture, a wonderful and enormous bathroom, loads of drawer and cupboard space and a well equipped kitchen. Thank you to Loukia and Spiros for the most fabulous welcome; the delicious cake; the jams and more - plus the opportunity to stay in a truly unique and special place. It was magical and we all loved it. Thank you!

A truly remarkable and memorable stay in Corfu
Roumanades is truly a special place to stay while in Corfu and Loukia and Spiros do everything they can to make your time there comfortable and special.
Evreything in the house has their elegant and tasteful touch. One can see the great care and love they have put into this house.
You are very much in the country yet close to both east and west coast beaches.
My husband and I would highly recommend a stay at this very special house!

Siamo una famiglia di 4 persone e siamo stati davvero molto bene, in questa casa affascinante, immersa nella natura e distante dai classici posti di villeggiatura.

No hesitation in recommending this rental
I rented Roumanades Estate for 5 nights with my wife and two teenage children.
The property has been newly converted and it made for a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The property is unique, in a rural farmhouse style it has a charming, comfortable and homely feel.
We arrived very late but the owners were more than happy to meet us in he nearby village and guide us in (we'd never have found it amongst the tight, single track lanes). The hospitality continued throughout - from a lovely welcome pack of homemade produce.They were then on hand for any phone query with a prompt answer.
The location is served well by beaches and tavernas no more than 5 minutes' drive away.
The property has a well stocked kitchen but it's upstairs that really impresses with two good sized bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom, all well decorated and with classic furniture, comfortable beds and faultless air con.
You're far enough from anyone else for a truly memorable stay, whether lazing in the hammock reading or dining outside in peaceful surroundings. A memorable holiday.

About the neighborhood
Our guests can walk around the 70 acre estate where the farmhouse is located, bike around our forest, bird watch and visit the wetland of Alikes Lefkimmis (Lefkimmi Saltpans). They can also go swimming at the beautiful beaches on the east coast (a 5 min. drive) or the sandy beaches of the west coast (a 15 min. drive). Visitors who wish to visit the island of Paxos can use sea taxis from Lefkimi Port (40 minutes) or from Kavos (30 minutes) at the southern end of Corfu..
Getting around
The house is a secluded paradise spot, at a distance of 30 Kilometers from the Corfu Airport, with ample parking space but it is away from public transport. Guests will need a car (we can help with this) and our recommendation is that they hire one from the airport, and use it during their stay.

How to get there
We assume that you will hire a car from the airport. Roumanades Estate is at 34 klms from the airport and time needed is between 40' and 60' depending on time of the day.
After you hire the car you head south towards Lefkimi and after approx 32 Klms you find on your way the village of Argirades, 2 klms from our property. Then you call us and we come to show you the way
