We had an amazing time at this villa. It looked just like the photos, really beautiful and spacious and very clean. The host and her family were very welcoming and friendly, and always on hand to assist if we needed anything. As a group of 7, it had everything we needed and we loved spending time in the villa and by the pool. The villa is a 25 minute drive from Rethymno Old Town, with lots of great shops, restaurants and a beautiful harbour. There is a restaurant just across the road from the villa, and Melidoni is a lovely nearby village to visit for lunch or dinner. It's close to a main road so easy to get to Chania and Heraklion by car. We loved our stay and hope to visit again soon!

This villa is amazing; immaculate condition with a lovely pool which is great for relaxing and chilling out. The host, Irini and her family are on hand to answer any questions and are very generous with their gifts of lemons, oranges, bananas, goats cheese and goats milk, but a special thank you goes to Irini’s mum who cooked us a surprise dinner on our last night. If you are looking for a quiet chilled out time in a home from home, then this is the villa for you.

After spending here 2 summer holidays in a row we've come back last Christmas to relax and enjoy the quiet. This is an excellent place to recover from busy lives and the swimming pool during is just a beauty itself and priceless in summer days. We've got to know the owners personally and can just recommend them as hosts. We've felt truly at home and part of a bigger family.

We (5 ladies) stayed here just short of one week in August. Irini was great in getting back to me throughout the booking process and leading up to our stay. The villa was in great condition,very clean with all the amenities you would need. We were welcomed with Amazing Cretan delights made courtesy of Irini's mum accompanied with a lovely Greek coffee. Irini provided fresh fruit and some essentials. The villa is based in a small village. The two local restaurants were great, food delivered to the villa served on plates and great quality! One of the restaurants even made me a birthday cake whilst I had my dinner without even being asked, amazing people. There is a real warm family vibe, the Cretans definitely know how to make people feel welcome. Recommend a car but nothing is too far, supermarket a few minutes drive and lovely Bali beach about 15 minutes away. Would love to return one day. I hope my future hosts are as lovely as Irini and her family. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We loved the villa. It is located in a very good and quite village. The host are amazing and they helped us with good ideas of what to do and where to visit. The villa is very clean and in a new condition and we will be back for sure!!!!

First time in Crete but not the last. Very nice villa with good quality furniture, well equipped and great pool. Owners live next door and look after the property very well. Welcome package and fresh eggs provided during our stay.

Our family of 7 stayed at Villa Ahlades in May/June and had the best time. The villa is beautiful, very well appointed and furnished in top quality stylish furniture. The view over the olive farms is just stunning, especially at sunset! Irini and Joanna (the owners) are extremely welcoming and generous - they brought us several gifts. We will definitely be back :-)

The villa is perfect we were there with 3 couples and childeren and we had a great time. The bedrooms have huge storage space so all your clothes were neatly stored The barbecue and pizza oven are free to use and we have gratefully made ​​use of them

Title says it all really, essentials (and some non-essentials) already in the villa on arrival which is much appreciated. The owner was really helpful, very quick to respond to any questions and went above-and-beyond to bring a surprise birthday cake for our son’s birthday! Big thank you.

Irini and family made us very welcome with lots of gifts: watermelon, cakes, fresh eggs and home-made olive oil - amazing! Located between Heraklion and Rethymnon making it perfect to visit either and beaches in between and also little villages further into the interior of the island. The villa had all the facilities needed for our family of 9, ideal for family meals, making our own pizzas in the the pizza oven and having fun in the pool! We all enjoyed our stay very much - thank you!
