Je recommande vivement de passer une semaine ou deux à Elounda Solfez Villa : vue imprenable sur la mer, piscine bien entretenue, maison confortable et surtout gros + : à votre arrivée, frigo plein (viande, charcuterie, poisson, fromages, fruits et légumes...et tout est frais !). Parfait pr une semaine sur place. Seul bémol : maison pas très fonctionnelle avec des enfants en bas age.

We’ve stayed many times in Villa Solfez over the past 8 years and it never disappoints. If you are looking for a place to totally relax and unwind, this is for you. The private pool and terrace are the perfect place to kick back and relax, the views are simply stunning and this is what has drawn us back year after year. We don’t use the facilities in the villa to cook, relying more on the fantastic local, family run restaurants and bakery , of which we highly recommend Elounda Bakery, Ergaspasio, Olondi and Megaro. Megaro is our favourite as the hosts have become such lovely friends over the years we’ve been visiting Elounda, Nikki and Jimis are the perfect hosts and their food is always amazing. One thing to note, the villa is at the top of a very steep hill but the local taxi firm is excellent and always accommodates trips to and from the main centre of Elounda, usually for a 12 euro fee. Booking the villa has always been seamless and Nik is the perfect agent to support you through this process, in fact we had to postpone our trip to Elounda a few times during the pandemic and he was patient and accommodated each change we needed to make, without hesitation. I trust this company implicitly so do not be put off when asked to send your deposit through bank transfer or through card payment link, the payments are always acknowledged and a receipt issued.

We stayed in Solfez Villas for a week, in early August, as a family, the first 3 days in 5 and then in 3. Everything went perfectly. The email contacts with Mr. Nikolas for the villa booking were cordial. Immediately after our first email, we received a lot of information about the villa and its surroundings and the rental conditions, which were very transparent and correct. We had replies to our emails, also to those sent in the late evening, within an hour. Even subsequently, we have always obtained in a short time answers to our further specific requests (on specific anti Covid restrictions in force and boat rental). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mr. Hippos, who showed us the villa and gave us all the information on what is in the villa, as well as lots of information on the surroundings (beaches, places to visit, restaurants, etc.). He was also always available and with discretion. The villa was exactly as described on the website, super equipped, from the fridge full of local delicacies, wine, honey, pasta, bread, cheese and much more and in large quantities, to the soap for the washing machine (a bit noisy), to the first aid box, to the charcoal for the bbq. Anything that could serve was there. The villa, the private swimming pool and the equipped space around it, the terrace and the outdoor furniture were very clean and well cared for. The pool was cleaned every day, the villa every two days. We didn't get to meet the cleaning lady, but the job was done really well. From the swimming pool, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mirabello. It was fantastic to enjoy breakfast from the terrace, the tuff in the pool before going to the beach, another one in the evening when returning from the beach, dinner around the illuminated pool. As for mosquitoes, we had no problems, but perhaps because there was a bit of wind in the evening. The place is quiet, you can enjoy absolute privacy and tranquility, as from the villas it is not possible to look into the villas next door. The Solfez villas are located in the hills, once past the resorts including the Tui one, in a quiet area with few other buildings around. This ensures tranquility and breathtaking views. But you need a car to get to the beaches, restaurants or shops. The final climb to get to the villa is steep and narrow, but not impossible to do (there were 5 of us with luggage in a Toyota Yaris). We had a really good time and can only recommend the Solfez Villas.

Our family of 4 stayed for 10 nights in July 2018. After a flight delay of four hours we were met by Hippo at 3am. Nothing was too much trouble for Hippo he is an exceptional host. Our fridge was extremely well stocked with wine fruit bread cheese jam etc and the villa was spotlessly clean. The views from the terrace were breath taking, there was everything you needed for a great holiday and if it wasn’t there Hippo would probably get it! I would highly recommend Solfez Villas and would like to return one day. Thank you everyone.

We were three people who stayed in the Villa in early June 2018 and we have to say it was absolutely fantastic. From the booking to leaving everything went perfectly. We arrived early and called Hippo who was with us in a couple of minutes as he stays onsite, we were allowed early access and from the moment we saw the Villa we knew we had made the right choice as the place was spotless with everything you will need for a 7 night stay, the outside patio area with stunning views over Mirabello Bay was fantastic with a lovely pool area with loungers and table and chairs and BBQ facilities. We were also supplied with coffee,wine,fruit and biscuits. We found the property was easy to find with good directions, we had a sat nav which took us to the steep road to the Villa, the steep road was no problem for our VW Golf with three people and all the luggage, just put the car in 1st gear at the bottom of the hill. We would like to thank Hippo who was fantastic and looked after our every need, we would like to give a big thank you to the girl who did the housekeeping. So in conclusion we would say a big thank you to Nik. and all at Solfiez Villas for making our stay such a great experience. As a footnote don’t miss the amazing Sunrises from the Villa and if you are looking for a place to stay in or near Elounda this is the place to stay.

Really difficult if not impossible to get a better view than here, on Elounda, Plaka and the entire bay. The villa is very well equipped with everything one may need, as described. Even if the space feels generally smaller than what the photos might suggest, it was not a problem at all for us, since one tends to spend most of the time outdoors anyway. What makes it so special, immediately after the stunning views, is the extraordinary relational service of Hippo, the "house manager". Without him, it would not be the same. NOTHING is too much to ask him, and whenever one does ask for something it is done WELL ans IMMEDIATELY. Also worth a special mention: the cleaners: they come every other day, and in no time make the entire place (bedding, towels, even windows), look, feel and smell like brand new! The only very slight shadow is: 1) you really must have a car at your disposal (I would have liked to be able to WALK to Elounda for grocery shopping... and 2) (but this sadly seems true everywhere in Crete) there were too many empty plastic bottles, and plastic bags lying here and there along the (VERY steep) drive up to the villas.

We visited Elounda and the Solfez VIllas Complex at the end of August 2016 with our 5 year old son and another couple. The scenery as expected was breathtaking. It is a bit tricky to reach the Villas, as on a high and very slopy uphill rural road, but the sighposting was great and easy to find otherwise. Upon arrival, Ippokratis was there to greet us and give us all the necessary details for our booked villa and its amenities (first aid cabinet, safe, ironing and cleaning facilities, bbq etc). The extremely impressive high point was the plethora of fresh produce and other products that were there for us to use: from the organic and localy grown vegetables (oh my the divine smell of fresh cucumber and tomatoes), the local meat, honey and wine to the cupboards filled with more than we needed! This was a definite first! What a quality welcome! Ippokratis was of great help with any info needed from local tavernas and bars to supermarkets and pharmacies. He was always discrete and respectful of our needs and available times. Ippokratis was the one to suggest an amazing hidden treasure with the most attentive, charming and great chef that treated us like family and cooked everything on his own from fresh and the vast majority was his own produce. I will not spoil the surprise and give the details. You need to go to Villa Solfez and ask Ippokratis yourselves! The Villa was clean, modern and well maintained; the same applies for the pool and the external areas. Even the very few minor issues that we had were resolved quickly and adequately. We had regular cleaning service and that meant no hassle for us (it seems that a lot of people are concerned about this when thinking of renting a villa; definitely not an issue for Villa Solfez). Our boy enjoyed the pool so much. We could wake up and have some fun pool time, then breakfast and more water fun, then go out and visit local beach; return at the end of the day and go back for a swim and enjoy a drink and dinner! A private pool is a must for a villa and Villa Solfez has set the bar quite high. The villa itself has been well built and thoughtfully designed with views at every level across the beautiful Mirabello Bay. There are no words to describe the emotions when you are in the infinity pool enjoying a cooled drink and overlooking such stunning views. The serenity and calmness are priceless. It was very reassuring that the other villas had no access or view of our villa and its external grounds, so our stay was very private and comfortable. There are so many places to visit from the near Elounda village and Plaka to Agios Nikolaos and its lively centre. Definitely go to Vai and Ieraperta areas, a bit of a drive but with some great beaches, restaurants and locations. The only glitch that we had was the amount of mosquitoes that we had on the first night and even though that the Villa had all the necessary mosquito 'fighting' equipment and solutions, our boy and myself ended up with tens of bites some of which got infected. It was easy to access a pharmacy to get the necessary treatment and Ippokratis had given us info re the local doctors. From the second night and onward we were better organised and vigilant, hence no other issues. Overall, our stay was amazing. Great friends at great location staying in a great place! Highly recommended and we will be returning for more Crete adventures. a Five Star Service, Fabulous Holiday Destination, Charming Accommodation

The Elounda Solfez Villa is a very nice villa located in the hills at Elounda. It has a stunning view over the bay. Very good service, food and drinks in the fridge at arrival :-) Would recommend this.

Stayed at Solfez Villas with my husband and grown up children for a week in June and it was, as the title says, amazing! The villa has everything you need and they have thought about the little things such as providing dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee and sugar etc... No need to immediately start charging round for supplies! Without doubt, the best thing is the view, spectacular! We have been to this area of Crete many times, so we just enjoyed lazy days by the pool and spending quality time together. From the moment we booked, we were well taken care of by Nikolas who communicated with us regularly - nothing was too much trouble. Hippo was on hand throughout our stay and made sure our pool was always pristine. We had a lovely time and it was excellent value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these lovely villas.
