It offers spacious, self-contained 1 bedroom apartments , with excellent privacy large balcony overlooking the Elounda Gulf and the island of Spinalonga. It is fully furnished and equipped with living room and kitchen with dining area, microwave and refrigerator. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The owners can happily assist you for car rental and luggage storage, and are happy to offer tourist information. Elounda’s centre is easily reached at 100 metres from the Apartments. Free private parking is available on site, upon request. The modern and ingenuous design combined with the wealth of the amenities offered, will steal your heart from the very first time. Very Average
Very good location but need to consider busy main road which can be noisy at times. Room 5 had lovely large balcony which we enjoyed with views of Spinalonga and whole apartment was very spacious. I would rate the apartment as basic as opposed to 'luxury'. Problem in bathroom with shower water not draining away properly & actually coming back up via drain on the floor resulting in constant mopping of floor and was also quite smelly! On a very positive note the owners were very friendly and were there to welcome us on arrival & invited us for coffee, cake, fruit & raki one day on our return from a day out. On reflection we should have told them about problem in bathroom so suppose can't complain too much! Would return again if ever in Elounda which we loved but would go to another room or check that drainage problem had been resolved. Also have to mention the Cretans overall were one of the most friendly people we have came accross on our travels & we are definitely going back to crete.

Schöne und ruhige Ferienwohnung
Die Ferienwohnung Nr. 5 war gut und einfach eingerichtet. Ideale Grösse für zwei Personen. Die Küche war einfach eingerichtet und hätte etwas sauberer sein können (Schubladen mit Brosamen). Alle drei Tage werden die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Das Dorf und der Strand sind zu Fuss in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Die Vermieterschaft ist sehr freundlich.

Excellent
We stayed here for 9 days and from the moment we arrived Michael and his parents welcomed us in a brilliant way and took care of everything we asked for. We really enjoyed our holiday there and will definitly stay there again if we visit Elound again. Many thanks from our whole family to you Michael and your parants.

Lovely apartment
We stayed in apartment 6 which was lovely. Very clean & serviced regularly. Central for shops, restaurants, water front. The owners were very helpful, obliging & made us welcome. The apartment is on a short hill which could be a problem for some guests.

Markakis Apartments
Would like to thank Michael for a really no stress holiday. The apartments are very clean and comfortable and in a great location for the centre of Elounda. I would definitely recommend these apartments and would stay there again in the future.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in Strandnähe
Die Markakis Apt. liegen in Strandnähe und mitten im schönen Ort Elounda. Wir hatten eine geräumige Ferienwohnung mit Riesenterrasse im oberen Stock mit Blick aufs Meer, einer Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer (das braucht man im August auch!), einem Aufenthaltsraum mit 2 Sofabetten, offener Küche, TV, WLAN und Zugang zur Terrasse. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend und nahmen sich Zeit für uns, um sicherzustellen, dass es keine Mängel gab und der Urlaub gut lief. Auch das Unterstellen von unseren Koffern bis zum Nachmittag am letzten Tag war kein Problem. Der Hafen / Zenrum von Elounda und der Kieselstrand sind 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Mit dem Bus kommt man schnell in den Nachbarort Plaka, wo es ein paar nette Geschäfte, schöne Tavernen, Kieselstrand und natürlich die Insel Spinalonga gibt. Außerdem ist man mit dem Bus auch schnell in Agios Nikolaus, wo man gut einkaufen kann. Für viel Kultur (Tempel, etc) war es uns im August zu heiß. Wir hatten einen erholsamen Urlaub in Elounda und würden die Ferienwohnung von Herrn Michael P. und seiner Familie zukünftig auf alle Fälle gerne wieder mieten. Hiermit nochmals vielen Dank an die Familie P. für die schöne Zeit!

Great holiday apartment.
The apartment is situated a 5min walk from Elounda town centre. There are various shops, restaurants, bars etc along this walk. This continues into the main town centre / square, with lots of lovely places to eat amazing food and drink, all running around the harbour inlet and the clear blue sea. Boat trips to Spinalonga and more, the Blue road train to Plaka, and buses are easily accessed from the town square. We booked the 1 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room for us three adults. It was modern and well equipped, with free wi-fi, and serviced with change of towels and bedding regularly. The owner and family were always on hand to answer any questions, give directions for buses, taxi' etc, and just simply to ask if we were enjoying our stay. Excellent email communication. Will definitely book again !.
