The apartment was fully renovated February 2014. Queen size 160x200 double bed in the bedroom and 140x200 sofa bed in the living room, which comfortably sleeps 2. Baby bed upon request.

Although our neighborhood is right in the center of archaeological places (Acropolis - around) and close to night life (Plaka - psyri), at the same time is safe, quiet and nice to sleep in.
Apartment is 5 minutes’ walk to Filopappos hill that is the green spot in Athens center, next to Acropolis.
Metro and tram lines are just 10 min walking distance while bus and troley is just 2 minutes away.
Easy access to marinas and beaches through tram lines and Piraeus port through the green metro line
Pets are not allowed.
For the benefit of all clients, it would be nice to smoke outside in the balconies.

We had a great time at Maria's place few days ago. We already miss that street full of orange trees and the app as well. It's perfect for two people and even 4 can fit easily. App looks like just as you can see it on the pictures. It's very nicely decorated, clean, cozy, has a fully equipped kitchen that you can use and everything else that you need, hairdryer, iron...even a washing machine. Bed and mattress are great!! So soft and great to take a rest and a good night sleep if this is something important for you. If you want to feel and live like a local, as we wanted, this is the right place to book to feel like a real Athenian. It's 10 min slow walking distance to the metro station and a lot of bars and restaurants in that part. By metro it's like 5 min to Plaka, Syntagma, Monastiraki, Acropolis and famous Ermou street. Basically everything is pretty close, good connected with metro to any part...airport, Piraeus port or city center. To take a slow walk it 20-30 min to Plaka, Zeus Temple we like to take a walk and get lost in beautiful Athens while exploring little romantic streets (just like was our street) we picked the right place and we are crazy to come back again in May. I highly recommend this apartment. For sure we loved it. At the end...I have to mention Danilo. He is great, always there if you need him for any kind of help. Even though we did not bother him that much. Thanks Maria and Danilo. Btw: thanks for great welcoming wine. It was tasteful! We felt like at home.

Love that comfortable place
I have been in Athens a few times with family or friends and stayed in Maria's place twice, and I will not look for other places when I go next time.
It is convenient for everything, very clean and comfortable place. I felt it was my own home when I was there. Danilo is extremely helpful whenever we wanted to go somewhere. He picked up us from airport and drove us around whenever we asked him.

Next to Acropolis, perfect host, superb apartment and service
Maria's place is wonderful! It is a nice quiet neighborhood in Athens that is within a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis, and just a little more to the Temple of Zeus, Agora, old churches. After cultural experience we would go to Plaka or Syntagma Square, or just nearby the apartment for some of the many many coffee taverns, bars, restaurants, or street food stalls. We walked to the most places because the location is so convenient - walking is a the best way to experience the magic of Athens. Maria's friend Danillo was waiting for us with the keys at our arrival and he helped us get acquainted with the apartment and the area and was happy to answer to many questions that we asked. Maria provided a cell phone for our use, and we could call her or Danillo's any time in case we need assistance during our stay. We received a present on arrival - a bottle of a great Greek red wine. We had email communication with Maria prior to our arrival and they provided all information to help us navigate across Athens. Danillo drove us from/to the airport at a fair price.
I could go on on and about how happy we were to stay in such a clean and comfortable apartment during an amazing visit in Athens. The bakery across the street is amazing - bread, pastries, cakes, bagels ...
We are coming again!

Vacanza greca
Sono stata in vacanza con mio marito e mia sorella in Athens. Siamo Iraniani e viaggiamo spesso in Europa. L'appartamento di Maria e' molto comodo e risponde a tutte le esigenze richieste dai passeggeri.
Si trova in un'ottima zona, a due passi di Acropolis e molto vicino a Plaka.
Devo ringraziare anche Danillo per la sua accoglienza ed utili informazioni.

Maria and Costas went above and beyond for us! Costas was there to greet us and showed us the well outfitted apartment (as good, maybe better than pictured!). They kindly gave us a gift of wine - much appreciated. This apartment couldn't be better situated for touring the acropolis and city centre. Maria really went out of our way ad booked a taxi for our departure as the taxi company didn't speak English. We were sad to leave - on of the best airbnb hosts we have had!

Very pleased with my stay
I am very happy with my stay. The neighborhood is quiet, stores are available nearby for buying food and drinks, including the nice bakery across the street. I had no trouble finding the place on foot from the metro station in the area (traveled light). I found the description of the apartment accurate. I must mention that the apartment was very very clean and I found the welcoming bottle of wine a nice gesture by the owner. Overall, very pleased with my stay and the apartment is highly recommended.

FROM Eleftherios Venizelos AIRPORT:
Get into metro at the airport (at Synagma station change to the red line, direction Elliniko station) Get out at Syngrou Fix station. Get up in the street using the stairs to Drakou Str. THEN:
EITHER
A) walk 10 minutes, Walking down Veikoy street, if you see any trolley (1, 5 or 15) get in, get out at Koukaki stop.
OR
B) take a taxi, cost 3.4 € plus 0.4 € / piece of luggage
Metro tickets from the airport are 10 € and valid for 24 hours for all metro, bus, tram, trolley lines.
Taxis 24:00 to 5:00 charge double tariff. The route from/to the airport is 38 € for the day and 54 € from 24:00 to 5:00
We could pick you up for 38 € or 54 € after midnight. Please inquiry about availability.
After landing it will take approximately 2 hours to reach our entrance using the metro. By taxi it would be 1 hour & 15 min. By us it would be 1 hour
FROM piraeus PORT:
Catch the green metro line that ends right next to the port. Get out at Petralona metro station, there is the terminal stop of trolley line #15. Get out at Sxoleia (schools) trolley stop. Get to Matrozou st.
Alternatively a taxi could cost 10-20 €.
