Casa Cachada is a house with history, since it was the owners’ and many other families’ home. It was always known for the tavern that existed there. The house has always been known as Casa Cachada, but now it has been transformed into an elegant rural tourism house in Braga. The house has a 1000 m² garden, a pool and a barbecue. Located 5 km from city centre of Braga, Casa Cachada has been reborn in the heart of the Este S’Mamede village. Sorrounded by Serra do Carvalho, and proud of the village’s river Rio Este, Casa Cachada has been totally reconstructed according to its original and centenary architectural features. Parfait

Nous avons séjourné 9 jours en famille dans cette magnifique maison. Tout c'est très bien passé, la maison et la piscine sont très bien entretenus. Chaque chambre à sa salle de bains et sont grandes. N'hésitez pas une seule seconde!

Superb house

A beautifully appointed house with excellent facilities. The swimming pool was delightful even in a cooler than usual June. The hostess Sandra makes every effort to make the stay enjoyable and is very willing to help in any way. The house is near a great restaurant (Rola) and in easy reach of Braga.

Maison exceptionnelle avec une salle de bain pour chaque chambre . Tout est rénové récemment et les matériaux sont de grandes qualités. Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique en famille. Jolie maison , ville de Braga authentique, Porto très intéressante , la vallée du Douro exceptionnelle Et Sandra , notre hôte, très accueillante

Perfection!

We were having a family holiday with people coming from various parts of the world and this was a perfect place to meet up. The house is really well appointed in a charming, non touristy village. The bedrooms are spacious and have their own living areas. The pool was divine and the outdoor dining area was well uses. Sandra was a perfect host and was ready to assist with anything we needed. The property is close to some wonderful historic areas and is really charming. Couldn't rate it more highly for a brilliant rest and relaxation type holiday, combined with a spot of history and cultural experiences.

La maison est magnifique. Ancienne maison avec des murs en granit mais refaite à neuf . Chaque chambre dispose de sa propre salle de bains . Jardin avec piscine très bien entretenu et très agréable pour le petit-déjeuner Tout proche de Braga , très jolie ville . Beaucoup de choses à voir dans le secteur . Je recommande vivement

Perfect family holiday.

Casa Cachada is an amazing house. We could not have stayed in a more perfect place. The accommodation for our family of nine was perfect. There is a ground floor bedroom with private lounge which was ideal for my daughter and husband and their 11 month baby away from the main lounge. Upstairs from a large hallway were 4 more spacious bedrooms. All bedrooms had their own private bathrooms and air conditioning. The kitchen and laundry room are fully equipped. The lounge is large with sofas and the dining room easily accommodated all guests, although we ate outside all the time under the large Pagoda. The pool was lovely. Salt filter which meant the water was soft and no smell of chlorine. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. We made full use of the covered BBQ area which is well equiped with sink, tables and seperate WC. There are bicycles to use, football table and badminton net. A 3 minute walk from tbe house to the small crossroads in the village is a bakery with a wonderful selection of breads and pastries. Also a village shop. The whole family would like to say a big thank you to the owner, Sandra. For her welcome and kindness.

Large village property with high quality finishes, lots of character and charm with excellent hosts

We stayed for 2 weeks in August 2017 and we found the property to be excellent all-round, Sandra was always available to help with anything. The property was clean with a high quality finish, excellent Wifi speed and air-conditioning. Pool was a great asset to the property we used it daily. Well located for town and country activities, even a short trip into Porto. We recommend the Abidia (abadiadeste.pt) restaurant, book for Sundays though as is very popular, if you like steak try the 'Big grilled Steak' you won’t be disappointed. Also try to find the Rio Toco in the mountains (Road Bridge, near to Fafiao, over the Dam), the rock pools and waterfalls are such fun and beautiful to swim in the clear water with the small fishes and dragonflies, etc. (about 1 hour drive north into national park) We would definitely stay again! Thanks Sandra!

superbe maison, spacieuse, bien située, proche de tout !

la maison est conçue comme un hôtel avec des chambres toutes équipées de salle de bain et toilettes, bidet, clim et TV. Décorées avec beaucoup de goût, très confortables. De taille différente. Toutes aussi belles les uns des autres ! Les photos ne mentent pas. La chambre au rez-de-chaussée donne sur la piscine. On se sent à l'aise comme à la maison ! tout y est. Nous étions 7 et nous avons adoré notre séjour de 15 jours à la Casa Cachada. Sandra la propriétaire est vraiment très gentille, accueillante, disponible et arrangeante. Le miel qu'elle nous a proposé est délicieux ! quant au porto... je n'en dis pas plus ! Il y a une supérette et une boulangerie à 5 min à pied. Ainsi que plusieurs restaurants traditionnels. Attention, le service est irrégulier surtout le soir. Copieux et pas cher. La maison est à 15 min du centre ville. Plage, lac, cascade proches... plein de choses à voir aux alentours. Seul bémol pour les oreilles sensibles : les coqs et les chiens. Mais on s'y fait ! bref, des vacances particulièrement réussies. Excellent rapport qualité/prix en pleine saison.

Turismo Rural de Charme

Foi com enorme satisfação que passei uma noite na "Casa da Cachada". Uma casa lindíssima por fora e extraordinária por dentro, uma vez que apresentava uma decoração moderna. Cama muito confortável e lençóis macios. A proprietária da casa, muito simpática e atenciosa, deixando os hóspedes à vontade. Pequeno almoço 5*. Recomendo uma visita nesta casa nem que seja por uma noite. Vale mesmo a pena.

Simplesmente Fantástico

Não há palavras para descrever o quão bom foi esta experiência. É incrível a sensação de paz, harmonia, equilíbrio e adição que se sente quando se entra pela porta. Parabéns aos proprietários pelo excelente projeto que reflete bem o espírito que a casa emana. O espírito de família. Um bem haja a D. Sandra pela receção, pela simpatia, pela disponibilidade que demonstrou. O pequeno almoço estava delicioso. Com toda a certeza recomendo e recomendarei sempre a Casa da Cachada.
