The bathroom has tub and hair dryer. The living room has a sofa-bed that sleeps one and a chaise-longue, as well as a widescreen TV with cable and the entire apartment has free Wi-Fi. A baby foldable bed and high chair are available upon request. TOURISTIC FEE From 1 January 2016 Lisbon Authorities implemented a new city tax. This tax is 2 € per person, per night and it is not included in the global price of your accommodation. It should be paid on arrival in cash. This tax is charged to guests aged over 13 years old and the maximum limit per stay is of 14 € per person. According to the Portuguese Law, each guest will be asked to fill out a housing form with personal data: name, date of birth, place of residence, passport number or other legally authorized document. We kindly ask that this procedure is completed at the time of check-in. SEF (Portuguese Immigration and Borders service) Check in Home notifies that it is mandatory to submit Accommodation Forms (‘Boletins de Alojamento’) declaring the entry of foreign citizens to SEF (Portuguese Immigration and Borders service), for all citizens entering the country through a border with no control, coming from another country within the European Union. Check in Home will arrange for this proceeding, but for this it is required the presentation of an official identification document, such as passport or ID of all the guests, with the following details: - Place of Birth - Place where you live - City where the passport was issued The Forms are due three week days upon foreign guests’ arrival and exit. The deadline is calculated considering three whole days starting on the day of the check-in or check-out, regardless the hours marked when the registration occurred. Both the display of identification and registration are mandatory for accommodation. All personal data are dealt with absolute discretion and confidentiality. The Best of Chiado

This place is beautiful and fun and amid the shopping and activity. We loved it so much. I could have stayed another week it was perfect!

About the neighborhood

Chiado is the most exquisite neighbourhood in Lisbon. It has museums, luxury goods and design stores, century-old theatres and operas, churches, unique buildings, traditional cafés, ancient bookstores… all in one place. And at the heart of Chiado block is Rua Garrett, where the apartment is located. Actually, a couple floors below the apartment lies Bertrand bookstore, originally from 1732 and considered the oldest active bookstore by the Guiness Book. Right across the street, the A Brasileira café has over one hundred years old and was once the meeting point to Portuguese writers, artists and journalists. Fernando Pessoa, the writer, who was one of its loyal customers, is immortalized in a bronze statue outside. We could go on…

Getting around

The Chiado area clearly calls for a walk, in order to benefit from all that it has to offer, along its many narrow streets and charming alleys. Next to Chiado you will find downtown, with its many monuments, churches, statues, museums and a world of History and stories. Lisbon has a good subway system, and just a few metres from the apartment you will find the Chiado station, which is a good option if you intend to cross great distances. Also, it is a nice option to and from the airport. In Rossio, at the monumental train station, the train will take you directly to enchanted Sintra. In Cais do Sodré, reachable by subway, the train will take you to Cascais through a scenic ride by the sea.
