We have a cozy garden and terrace areas for those who smoke but please refrain from smoking in the house.
Keep the house clean and tidy as we always need to prepare for the next guest like yourselves.
There are neighbours, please respect them by keeping the noise to a reasonable level, though they are very tolerant, I do not want to upset them.

It was a pleasure to host the Xabe Family. They are superb guests that took great care of our property. Leaving everything in great condition as well as neat, clean and tidy, respectful of our house rules. From the start our communication and experience was smooth, easy and a pleasure to speak to. Fabulous experience !
The house is just beautiful, we were greeted by Filipa who showed us all the possibilities that the house has to offer.
We were 6 adults and the space offered is gigantic.
The garden and the swimming pool are a major asset!
We were able to refresh ourselves after our days of visiting Lisbon and its surroundings.
Our hosts were very responsive when needed.
In conclusion, it was 10 days of good vacation!

I really enjoyed hosting Jibelo and friends. They were superb guests as they took great care of our property, kept it clean, neat and tidy. They respected our house rules and left everything in great condition. Our experience and communication with them was smooth, easy and a pleasure to speak with from the beginning till the end. I appreciate and was grateful and thankful for their understanding.
I hope to have the opportunity to host them again anytime. Highly recommend them as Great Guests. They were awesome!!

Wonderful villa, fantastic location
We have just returned from a 10 night stay and have to say can’t wait to go back.
The villa is set in a pretty village with about 5 restaurants within walking distance. Our favourite was the pub. This offered tapas that were absolutely delicious and really well priced. The owners were also really friendly. Meal for 4 about 70E with wine, beer and desserts.
The villa itself was super clean and the owners are absolutely lovely. They meet you when you arrive and run through all information needed. Also gives you a great chance to ask any questions. They were also fantastic with correspondence before we arrived. Everything has been thought of. There is nothing especially in the kitchen that is not there. All the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. The garden is also really pretty and has a lovely shaded area, great for outdoor dining. The pool is also bigger than it looks in the pictures and a great bonus.
We didn’t hire a car as Uber’s are plentiful and arrived within 5 minutes.
Large Lidl supermarket approx £3.50 each way and Cascais about £5 each way. Airport £26. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 only 2 persons in a taxi so we always needed 2 cars but we still thought it was reasonable. There is also a small supermarket on a camp site within walking distance of villa but quite expensive.
We went for the surfing and this didn’t disappoint. Guincho beach is about a 30 minute walk each way but it’s a good safe walk and suitable for children if they are ok with the distance. Surfing was absolutely amazing. We went with Wanted Surf School and had a private instructor each day. Jose was the most amazing and enthusiastic teacher we have ever met.
Thank you to the lovely owners for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will be rebooking as soon as the flights are released.

Optimal - und zwar Wohnung wie Vermieter!
Cascais liegt schon toll. Aber das Ngally Family Home liegt sozusagen noch besser: in Nähe der Stadtmitte UND des Strandes. Dazu ausreichend Platz ... und (der größte Pluspunkt) eine fantastische Betreuung durch Paula Ana und Ruiz! Unsere Reise stand wegen des Corona-Virus unter keinem guten Stern, aber die beiden haben vieles wettgemacht. Ob man also die ruhigen, eigenen "vier Wände" oder Cascais oder auch Lissabon & das restliche Portugal genießen möchte: Das Ngally Family Home ist dafür uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Beautiful holiday home and the warmest of welcomes
This beautiful property has been furnished with such love and attention to detail that it was easy to relax and enjoy our family holiday here from day 1. The pool felt much bigger than it appeared in the photos and there is plenty of room to comfortably lounge in the sun or shade. Areia is a quiet village but has a handful of excellent restaurants/cafes and a small shop selling fresh bread/groceries. The beach at Guincho is close by as is the more lively Cascais. Car recommended but not essential as there are buses and taxis easily at hand. Thank you Paula and Luiz for the warmest of welcomes and a lovely week.

Excellent family rental
The Ngally family home is a beautiful house to rent for family holidays. Went there with our 2 daughters (8&12) my wife & grandparents. Perfect quiet place with small quality restaurants nearby and a exciting beach minutes away. The kids loved the pool and the cozy backyard. This is not a place for people seeking party & nightlife. Highly recommend renting a car if you stay here. The hosts were pleasant & polite, and we never saw them othee than the day we arrived.

Beautiful home, wonderful hosts
Paula and Luiz were so welcoming providing treats for the kids and a few snacks. The house is lovely with a really homely feel and has everything you need. It’s a short drive to the town and the beach, there’s a couple of restaurants in walking distance.
We all had a wonderful time!

Beautiful House
We had a perfect holiday in the house. It’s brilliantly situated in a quiet village with some excellent local restaurants and so close to the beach Cascais and a short train ride into Lisbon. Thanks for staying up and welcoming us when we arrived so late. Will definitely recommend and return

Areia is a small residencial área, its quite and peaceful. We are 1.5km from Guinho beach walking distance with beautiful views and surrounding áreas.
Areia has great resturants walking distance from the Villa.
Cascais is a charming town with lots to see and entertainment.
Sintra is a 30minute drive into a magical town with palaces and castles..
Getting around
The most convenient way to get around is by car.
Cascais has a train station to get you into Lisbon (Cais do Sodre) and also other towns along the coast..
The Red Bus tour (hop on hop off) stops just opposite the camping site in Areia or otherwise you can start on it in Cascais near the park..
There is a bicycle service in Cascais where you can hire a bike for the day and pay 4euros and cycle to the beaches and back.

We always recommend a car.
From Lisbon to Areia it is roughly 45euros by táxi and Uber around 25euros.
The journey from Lisbon to Cascais Areia is 40 minutes and depending on traffic it could be a bit more..
There is a bus stop 200m from the house to travel into the town.
