Great Location & Great Host!
My husband and I started our trip to Portugal in Coimbra at Isabels apartment. Great location to everything in Coimbra. Please note it is steep all over Coimbra so wear GREAT walking shoes. We had everything we needed and Isabel gave us great advice for our traveling around Portugal- thank you Isabel- hope to visit soon.

It was a very good relaxing, fully equipped, clean, comfort, and spacious apartment.
The apartment was very well equipped, in order, spacious, apartment's location was in a quiet, green, and safe neighborhood, nearby historical site of the city. The service of the apartment owner was excellent.

Great apartment in Coimbra
Nice apartment in a quiet neighbourhood 10 min walk from the city center. It has a well equipped kitchen and the owner is very helpfull. Highly recommended.

very poorly run rental, no customer service
Since we rented apartment instead of hotel or B&B three years ago whenever we travelled, this was a worst rental we ever encountered.
The place was very spaceful. However, it was poorly managed. We got minmium household supply. Only 1 and 1/2 small size bathroom tissue. We needed to buy our own. Luckily, we had our own supply for the shower etc. No supply for cooking, even no salt and pepper. The owner promised would give all information about Coimbra and surrounding when we arrived. There was nothing prepared to tell us, even no map for the city. The owner could not answer any questions we had.
Also the apartment was very noisy. You could hear any noise next door or from stairway. There was a club few doors away. Loud music day and night either from the club or apartments near by. Especially, on Sat. music and party until early morning. I could not slept through a night in the 5 days we stayed.
We let the owner know our arrival time few days before and let her know we had no cell phone whe we travelled. There was no instruction how to contact the owner when we were at the apartment. The cafe downstair helped us to call the owner to come down. After we arrived, completely no communication from the owner. No reply for our email. On the day we left, the owner got taxi for us, but we didn't see her coming down from her apartment that she lived upstair when the taxi arrived. Only option we had, left the key in the apartment and left.
We gave two stars for the space of the apartment otherwise 1 and 1/2 is what we would like to rate it.
We will not use the same apartment when we go back and recommend to anyone.
