The 'Algarve Hillstation' nestles in a lush green valley on the southern slope of the 'Serra de Monchique' at a height of 640 m. On 3 hectares (7.5 acres) of terraced land the 'Hillstation' offers: • swimming pool 5 x 9 m; • championship-size tennis court; • table tennis, billiard, Boule; • concrete foundations (1.50 m high) for astronomical photography and observations; • mature gardens and ponds around the house; • two springs (certified best quality drinking water) on the property supply tap and pool water. The Apartment with approx. 60 m² floor space comprises the whole upper floor of the villa including a huge private terrace and has a separate entrance. How to get there
Public transport No matter if you arrive in 'Faro' or 'Lisbon', you need to reach 'Portimão' either by train: (www.cp.pt) or bus:( http://www.eva-bus.com/novo/)or (www.renex.pt) Take a bus for the 21 km from 'Portimão' to 'Monchique' (http://www.frotazul-algarve.pt). From the main square in 'Monchique' take a taxi to 'Restolho da Aveia na Foía' (approx. 6 km for 8 EUR) or call us for to pick you up. Please do not attempt to cycle uphill in summer if you are not accustomed to it! Individual transport A rental car is a very comfortable and reasonable choice in low season. Please check best prices, conditions and 'carbon offset' possibilities yourself. If you drive from the north take the N267 from 'São Marcos da Serra' to 'Alferce' / 'Monchique'.
