From the moment you drive through the entrance of this magnificent gated property you are greeted by the waft of lavender bushes and lemon trees. A fountain leads you to the grand doorway which opens onto a spacious reception area. The dining area, complete with typical Algarvean tiled mural, is the perfect place for hosting dinner parties and the terrace leading off here is ideal for an alfresco sunset gin and tonic.
The fully equipped country style kitchen leads onto a dining terrace overlooking the 15 metre floodlit pool and fruit orchard. The kitchen comes with electric oven, microwave, induction hob and all relevant cookware, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. On the level below, there is a separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and a spare fridge freezer. There are two separate TV/chill out areas both with large screen TVs with satellite/ cable channels and Wi fi.
This 750m2 property has 5 bedrooms including: Master bedroom with king sized bed upstairs with private terrace and panoramic views of the sea and lighthouse. The grand marble en suite bathroom comes with luxury walk in shower, bath and double wash basins. There is also a separate dressing room. Downstairs sleeps another nine guests: there are 2 x double rooms (one of which has an additional single bed), two twin rooms each with en suite and doors leading onto their own terrace. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned and tastefully decorated with Portuguese charm and elegant furnishings. The 15m x 7.5m infinity pool (perfect for those who are serious swimmers) has a separate shallow pool for children attached and is one of the highlights of this amazing property. There are numerous sun loungers and a stunning outdoor tiled shower area. On the pool level there is also another large Weber gas barbecue.
A pathway leads through the terraced gardens and meanders through the olive grove and almond trees which is perfect for an afternoon stroll. There is even a football pitch with goalposts and tracks for riding bikes so kids will never be bored here either. Alternatively, there is a large trampoline which is fantastic fun, and perfect for all ages!
The spacious property is perfect for those who love socialising but at the same time offers privacy and seclusion. So many peaceful nooks, terraces and shady spots makes this the ideal place to relax, read, sunbathe, swim, rest and simply enjoy the beauty of being surrounded by nature.
This property is dedicated for family holidays, and bookings would not be accepted for party groups such as stag or hen parties, or guests under 30 years old.
WEDDINGS AND CELEBRATIONS AT QIUNTA DOS SONHOS:
There is an event surcharge of £2,500 for any form of event or celebration. The Refundable Security Deposit would be increased to £2,500 in these cases. The maximum guest allowance would be 50 people, including the guests staying at the villa (and includes children over 2yrs old). Should you be holding more than one event during your stay, then the event charge will be multiplied accordingly.
No event/ celebration/ gathering can be held at any of our properties without prior consent. Fireworks are not permitted and all music must finish at midnight. There must be always be a recognised wedding/ celebration event planner in attendance on the day. The responsibility of applying for a music license would also be the responsibility of the event planner.
A Non-Refundable Deposit of 25% of the total booking value will be required on all bookings. Excluding, obviously, the portion of the Refundable Security Deposit paid.

We found Quinta Dos Sonhos online and contacted Barbro (the owner) directly. She answered all of our questions efficiently and passed us onto Howard at Algarve Coast Villas to book the dates in August. Algarve coast villas have a UK address in Manchester so we felt comfortable this wasn't a fake company (you never know as we were nearly ripped off twice on homeaway website from fake letters!!!). Howard was great too and answered all of our questions. They even passed us an excellent company for the private transfers (bravo tours) and they were spot on too providing baby seats and booster seats on pick up for the airport journey.
Anyway the onto the villa itself. Its even larger in real life than the photo's! 650m2 of accomodation with the master bedroom suite, closet, en-suite and private terrace on its own floor seperated from the other 4 double beds with en-suites which are in the lower wing. The master suite is perfect if you have a baby/toddler and need a seperate room from there, secure in the knowledge its via door from your own bedroom! The master suite is huuuuge and the terrace also.
We were a group of 12 people with 2 teenagers, a baby of 1 and 9 adults of various ages from 38 to 66, the villa suited itself to everyone! theres loads of steps so just had to watch the bambino as he loves to climb, only the same as home though! they provide a cot with comfy mattress for the baby and also high chairs so he was well catered for!
All of the other bedrooms are great and have en-suite so no worries there. we slept 2 teenagers in the TV room and they were more than happy there in their own space.
The villa has 4 acres of grounds and the pool area is beautiful, its not heated but is a welcome cool down after hot temperatures and there's loads of inflatables for the kids...and big kids! there are snorkles and facemasks, footballs, bouls, basketball, trampoline and a small football pitch with goals and of course the table tennis which took on many heated tournaments.:-) there is an amazing olive and fig tree lined driveway with electric gates which is very very impressive!
You will find tons of candles and holders, a gas webber BBQ and a charcoal BBQ too for outdoor dining and we had family al-fresco meals outdoors on both the large upper terrace dining area and the lower pool dining table: candles lit and music on...perfect!
The main kitchen is large and has everything you need. we went to aldi which was just 10 minutes in a taxi and did a huge shop for the duration. For 400 euros we ate and drank like kings for 8 days and that was for 12 people so once you are in the villas, you don't need to leave if you dont want! There is a smaller utility kitchen and fridge/freezer off of the pool area and this is great for day time drinks, food and also for doing the laundry and ironing.
Its air conditioned everywhere and there's so much room you're not all on top of each other either which is bonus with a large group of different families. The cleaners come most days and one of them speaks perfect english so thats nice too. they were very efficient and never got in the way. the gardeners and pool cleaners came but we barely saw them as they came early.
Downsides:
These are not complaints by any means but i think its better to know the whole picture, otherwise whats the point of writing a review:
There are a few things that need replacing like a few of the kitchen electrical items, the kitchen table needs securing as it was wobbly and a few exterior doors need fixing as they didn't close too well. One of them is broken and we were told not to use it so id say that needs replacing asap as it was ground floor! The house alarms (yes i said alarms!) are a real pain in the ass as you have to set 3 of them in succession and being such a huge villa its a bind especially when you've come on holiday to avoid stress! I would have thought that they would have been linked to a central box so you just set it once on exit and arrival, that would work much better.
Taxis: we used our Uber app and it worked a treat everytime! the drivers come down from lisbon for the summer and they are quick and cheap. forget using local taxi's, you wont need one and we didnt hire cars either as everything we needed was within a 10 minute taxi ride as well as carvoeiro centre.
Around the villa:
It looks like its in the middle of no-where on the photos but thats just its grounds!:-) there is actually quite a few things within a 10-20 minute walk. we walked to the sea caves at benagil in 20 mins, the other beach down by rocha brava resort and the supermarket there for bits and bobs we forgot at the big shop. The lighthouse bar and grill is less than 10 minutes walk and is great for sunset drinks and meals. Chicken George is a mere 5 minute walk, down the little road and is a typical local place where they dont speak much english and the only thing on the menu is bbq chicken and chips but its fantastic food and only 6 euros! great for buying a few in and having for meals and sandwiches and sooo tasty! like i said none of us hired a car but we got around absolutely fine and without any problems!
Overall we had an amazing time and we would not hesitate to go back to Quinta Dos Sonhos, its such a great area to explore or alternatively stay in the villa, lay back and think of....Portugal. England can wait a little longer!!!;-)

amazing villa
This is an amazing villa for a relaxing holiday; it is really spacious both inside and outside and the children adored playing in the 4 acres gardens and were spoilt for choice of things to play with. Despite feeling pretty rural, the villa is still really near to the small village and beach of Benagil with its world famous caves and walking distance (no pavement so would not recommend at nightime) to a few restaurants. Would hire a car to make the most of the fantastic location and discover some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen and some great small towns.

Like staying in a palace
I was fortunate to be able to spend a few days late in the summer in southern Portugal in this stunning and expansive villa. The infinity pool was amazing and just what was required during the balmy days to cool off and relax around. The "farm of dreams" is indeed a perfect description of this property with the extensive yet private landscaped gardens surrounding the enormous villa. Speaking of the villa, there is so much space you can easily get lost! Ideal for groups of friends as you can spread out through the "wings" and have plenty of privacy if you so desire.
All this and just a few short minutes from the spectacular beaches of the Algarve, where you can explore the stunning coastline before retiring for early evening cocktails and bbq's. Only wish I could have stayed longer!!

Perfect Family Holiday
We have recently returned from a week in this most beautiful villa. Three generations of family which has given us some wonderful memories. There was so much for everyone to do. Relax, swim, stroll through the grounds, play football on the pitch, table tennis tournaments (great fun) all without leaving the villa.
The Villa itself is immaculate with wonderful views from all aspects, with many quiet spaces to relax in. The decor and furniture all of a very high standard. We were met by Celeste when we arrived and she made sure that everything about the villa was well explained and continued throughout the week to make sure everything was fine. She could not have been more helpful.
The area around and the beaches and restaurants were all great, which we knew as we have had many holidays in this area over the years and we will certainly return.
We would highly reccomend this villa for familes or friends sharing a holiday together.

One of our best vacations ever
We all had a wonderful time in this beautiful house and garden. Everything was perfect. The house was well planded. Beautiful furniture. Magnificent pool and porch. The nearby beaches was also fantastic with its marvelouse caves and rocks. We can definitely recomend this place and we plan to come back ourseves soon.

The Farm of Dreams...what holidays are made of!
Wonderfully happy, relaxed, smiling, sun kissed, and extremely contented is how I want to feel after a holiday, and the Farm of Dreams did just that...and some! What a truly amazing place. The beautifully spacious and divinely styled home met mine and my baby's every need. We didn't want for anything. The olive groves, fig trees, lemon and almond trees in the stunning grounds of Quinta dos Sonhos simply add to the character of this fabulous soulful home. It is sheer luxury with every comfort you require to relax and unwind. And the pool...the best I've ever swam in, complete with every swimming aid for my little baby girl who was well on her way to learning to swim, thanks to the owners thinking of absolutely everything once again. Stunning beaches are only a few minutes away as is the local village. The Farm of Dreams has it all. We will be back without doubt!

A Sublime and Tranquil Piece of heaven on earth!
We stayed here over the Easter holidays based on the reviews of this stunning and awesome Villa.We have 2 young boys who didn't know where to begin! after walking around the vast and beautiful land they discovered a football pitch much to their delight! The huge infinity pool was perfect for cooling off and big enough to play pool games. We were impressed with the location too as it was so private, driving through the electric gates you instantly knew this was something very special.As the villa was so lovely we didnt venture out everyday but when we did, the wonderful coves and exclusive beaches seemed to be never ending. We took a boat trip and began to realise that we had been missing out all these years.
I am planning to return with a group of friends and their children next year and I cannot recommend this dream villa enough.

If you're looking for the 'WOW' factor, look no further
The pictures do not do this place justice.
Myself and my partner stayed here as we travelled back to Europe to see family.
Being a seasoned traveller I have to say I'm hard to please but this place was faultless.
The detail did not go unnoticed. Everything you could want is here from super comfy beds, to an infinity pool (that you can actually do decent laps in) daybeds, sun loungers, a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful verandah to enjoy sundowners all surrounded by carob and fig orchards. We really did not want for anything.
When we did manage to drag ourselves away from our new found heaven we didnt have to go far to discover stunning beaches and coves. We went out on an amazing boat trip one day and explored caves and swam in aqua marine clear mediterranian water. And on the way back to Villa Quina Dos Sonhos we stopped off for possibly the best fresh sardines we've ever tasted.
Need i say more!

Dream Holiday Villa!
Such an amazing villa. We stayed for a week and were still discovering hidden places to relax on our last day. The stunning house is only matched in beauty by the spectacular beaches and caves that are just a short distance away. We spent most of our time chilling by the enormous infinity pool or simply wandering around the magnificent landscaped gardens. Hopefully we will be back soon to discover more hidden gems. The perfect place for a sophisticated group getaway.

Stunning 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom Luxury Villa in a perfect retreat
For families who just want to relax, home from home, It's infinity pool, set in lush mature gardens hits the spot on a beautiful sunny day. Enjoy your lunch or a cocktail or 2 on the vast terrace, or just sleep under the shady umbrellas. For those of your who feel more energetic you can play table tennis or stroll down to the quaint town of Rocha Brava.There are a host of pretty little beaches with shady coves, Benajil, Ferragudo to name but 2, with terrific fish restaurants and views that you will remember forever. We can certainly highly reccomend Quinta dos Sonhos as the perfect home from home with everything you could possibly desire.
We can't wait to return next year.
