2nd time to Carvoeiro and we hope to come again and stay at no.70. Fantastic location, everything you needed and a view that would be hard to beat. Steep hills all around the village but great for working off all the extra calories.

Absolutely Marvellous holiday, beautiful apartment, hills keep you fit, must say I hired a mobility scooter for mum, highly recommend Sulcare for any future elderly people, she was able to go on the boardwalk plus restaurants etc, thanks Lindsey for a lovely holiday, also Monte Dorado management were so helpful and we really appreciated their help with a few minor issues, promptly dealt with

This was a lovely apartment with a fantastic view over the town and beach from the balcony. there is everything you could need and is cleaned on a regular basis. It is a shame there are no basics such as salt and pepper but this seems the norm in the Monte Dourado complex. Would certainly return and Lindsey was extremely helpful.

We had a lovely stay in Casa Serena for 9 nights. The appartement is big and has nearly everything you need. It is very well located. The appartement has fantastic views over the sea. This was extremely enjoyable. Often a bit breezy on the patio, but not an issue (probably even very welcome in July/August). The kitchen is very well equiped. Not a pinch of salt/sugar or a drop of oil though, which is a bit suprising considering that most holidaymakers would probably leave those behind when they fly home. That's what we did anyway. Cleaning is done 3 times a week in May, we could have done with a bit more... We used the tennis court a few times but the reception staff charge 5 euro per hour + 2.5 per tennis racket... the description should make it clearer that is is fee paying (or did I miss that?) so bring your own rackets if you want to play everyday. The appartement is situated in front of the main pool, which is currently not usable as it is being (very slowly...) renovated. Renovation is supposed to take 1 week but 10 days later it was still not finished. A bit disappointing but the complex does boast many other pools. Internet access was problematic. The owner was very prompt to intervene (Lindsey is very responsive and easily reachable) but the reception staff rather less... eventually we got it properly running a week later... Those few glitches did not spoil our stay and we had a lovely time.

Thank you for allowing us to use your amazing appartment. We never tire of the view down onto Carvoeiro beach. Well equipped and comfortable. Excellent support from the Monte Dourado staff, which gives added peace of mind. Having stayed in Carvoeiro several times previously, this property is without doubt the best. Would definitely recommend to anyone without hesitation. Only consideration is that the complex is built on top of a hill, so be prepared or else take a taxi to get ‘home’ after your evening out.

Having been to Portugal a couple of times before on package holidays we decided to go it alone and book our flights, accommodation etc. and boy was this the right thing to do. Right from the outset the communication and ease of transaction from the owner Lindsey was perfect with everything done professionally and smoothly. This put our minds at rest knowing that the owner was dedicate to us having an enjoyable time with a hassle free holiday. On arrival the apartment was spotlessly clean, well maintained and stocked with with all the white goods you would need at home. There's a maid service everyday apart from Sundays, the towels are changed twice a week with the bedlinen changed once a week. The bedrooms were large enough for the 4 of us with plenty of wardrobe storage and enough sockets for the kids to charge their gadgets. Our double bed was very comfortable which made for a good nights sleep, one of the best I've had on my travels. There are 2 toilets in the apartment one with a walk in shower and the other with a bath/shower combination, both clean with enough hot water for a shower for everyone everyday. The living/dinning area has a large chunky round wooden table with enough spaces for 6 people, 2x large two-seater leather sofa's, a sideboard and a TV will some English channels to view. A sliding-door leads you onto the patio area which has a stunning sea-view looking down into Carvoerio, (This can also be seen from the main bedroom - fantastic view to wake up too first thing in the morning). Theres also a table and chairs for any alfresco dining. The two bedrooms and main living area also have air-con units to keep you cool during the hot days. Outside of the apartment there are many walkways around the Monte Dourado complex which have plants, bushes, small trees all well maintained plus 5 swimming pools all with sun beds for guests to use. The complex itself is well looked after with a reception staffed from 10am-7pm. Overall I would rate this apartment and complex as a 10/10 and would definitely book again, its clean, quite and chilled all perfect for the perfect get away.

We are a small family of 3 with a young baby, and this was our first time in Carvoiero. The apartment had everything we needed and more on request, including travel cot, changing mat and highchair. It also had air conditioning throughout, a washing machine and dishwasher. There was more than enough space for us, with 2 bathrooms, 2 good sized double bedrooms and an ample sized terrace offering tremendous views of the sea and of the town itself. We soon realised that this apartment had one of the best views in the resort, some people even approached us to ask which the apartment number was for future reference! A great location, only a short walk to all the restaurants, beach and the main square in town and the journey back up the steep hill certainly burns off a few calories! Buggy access was easy to the apartment and to the pools, however the main pool nearest to the apartment was very popular and seemed to get busy very quickly. All in all, we had a fantastic time and would highly reccommend for small families.

We loved sitting out on the terrace looking down to Carvoeiro beach at breakfast and enjoying the sunsets in the evening. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. We would definitely go back again.

Stayed for one week in the fabulous Carvoeiro. The apartment was lovely, spacious and clean with all equipment for eating/drinking at home or out. The views down to the beach are fabulous and the pool is just outside of the front door. The pool was clean and quiet with plenty of sun beds. Pitched high above the resort there is either a walk up a steep hill from the beach or back steps security entrance as a quicker and slightly less energetic walk from the bars close to the beach. Everything you will need is at this apartment, lovely really enjoyed it, thank you, would highly recommend.
