This very popular 3 + 3 bedroom air-conditioned detached villa as been for years only available with a well known villa agency.
Situated in one of the best areas of Areas Sao Joao down a quiet cul-de-sac with no passing traffic and only 100 meters from the infamous strip.
The whole villa is arranged on one level and is suitable for disabled clients.
A lovely three bedroom cottage style villa with additional 3 bedroom annex villa with access between the two villas and both are surrounded by large gardens, children's swing and good sized private pool.
Villa Tigonema is a 3 bedroom detached villa which as been renovated for the summer season with a new fully equipped kitchen with everything built in.

Hens Do May 24
14 group stayed for a hen do. Pool area and garden was lovely. Everything nice and clean and good value for money. Short walk to the Strip and busy areas for food ect. We had no issues and booking was very smooth using the companies transfers service too. Lemon trees were lovely and we used for drinks too! Would recommend brining pool towels as Villa ones not for use in the pool.

Great location
Perfect location for our group of 10. Lots of space, clean and lovely pool (very refreshing after a hot day out).
Very responsive to all emails, booking transfers through them was also very easy. Would recommend.

Perfect villa!
We came as a group of 13 girls to celebrate my best friends hen. Booking the villa was smooth sailing from start to finish, Dale was very friendly and quick to reply and explain the next steps. We used the company for airport transfers also which went really well. The villa is ideal for location, it isnt in the heart of the strip but only 5 mins away by walking so you can enjoy some peace but also be near to everything. Old town was a quick taxi journey also, 5 euros in a taxi i think i remember. The beach also approx 10 mins walk. The actual villa is ideal, very clean and spacious with basically two houses in one. We absolutely loved the pool area and this was great for our mini pool party! If you need a good classical portugese villa with lots of bedrooms for a family or friends visit you would not be disappointed in this place.

Great location
We were a party of 16 (including an 8 month baby) and had a mainly delightful stay in Villa Tigonema and its Annex.
It was spacious and roomy in the main villa and rooms were clean.
The kitchen was well equipped and we managed to eat several meals and had a couple of barbeques with not many problems.
The bathrooms were dated but ok with plenty of hot water.
The only negative, was there was only one plug socket in each room which caused a few problems.
The washing machine failed after a few days but there was one in the Annex we could use.
The pool and the area surrounding was ideal for all of us. There were plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs (even though they were very warn and dated)
The Annex was obviously not used as much as it smelt musty and there was an infestaion of ants. This was a concern at first but we found that the owners had left us some ant spray, so it was not too much of a problem.
One of the bathrooms was big and plentiful of hot water most days.
The other bathroom was not used as it smelt very musty and damp.
I would go back to this Villa but not use the Annex the location was awazing, a fw minutes walk to the Strip and a teny minute walk to the Old Town of Albuberia.

Ants are a problem in all properties in the summer when clients leave food or sweet items on the balconies or floors, as the ants are atracted to it, as this happens, we do usually have ant spray in the properties,
Being an older property and having 16 guests in a 6-bedroom property, i can see that plus sockets in the bedrooms could be a problem, it has never been mentioned before, but there are other sockets in the lounges and kitchens, i will also see if we can add extra usb sockets in the bedrooms,
broken sunbeds or tables are replaced immediately, but obviously if they are fine and usable and are only sun stained we replace them when required,

Fantastic
We stayed at villa tigonema for 1 week just returned home on Sunday, 14 of us stayed using both main villa & annex ages 18months to 65! The villa had everything we needed bedrooms were clean, kitchen well equipped, towels & bedding all provided. Pool area was lovely and spacious with plenty of sun loungers. (4 new ones delivered whilst we was there)
We had a BBQ one night which was lovely. Villa is only a few minutes walk to the bars, restaurants in new town and old town is a short taxi ride, the old town square is lovely. The beach is about a 15min walk and is a lovely beach.
I would definitely recommend this villa and Dale was so helpful from start to finish always replying to emails and queries. We also booked the transfers via Dale which saved us time. He was also very helpful in organising travel to a family wedding. The deposit has been paid back very swiftly.
We've had one of the best holidays spending time with family old & new.

Excellent
We stayed here as a family of 9, ages ranges from 6 to 56. We had a private transfer arranged for us. On arrival we were met and taken to the office to collect the keys. Dale then met us at the Villa and showed us around. There was plenty of space for us all and it never felt cramped. The Villa is in an excellent location no matter what type of holiday you want. The beach is around a 10 min walk away, we walked with kids so I could probably have made it there a little quicker myself. At the end of the road is a fantastic bar called Johnny Hoopers Saxophone Bistro I recommend you try this place. The Strip is only a 5 minute walk away, and although it can be a little noisy at night time it never bothered us too much. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within a 2-5 minute walk.
Dale was fabulous right from the day of booking. He arranged all our trips for us and transfers to get to places. I cant recommend this place enough.Thank you for a fabulous week.

great outside area
we stayed at villa tigonema for 1 week with a of eleven girls (aged around 18). We enjoyed our stay in this house, especially the outside area which was very spacious. The best thing about the house is probably the big pool with the sunbeds surrounding it. The villais located very central in the new town of Albufeira, perfect for a group of young people because the strip is at a 5 minute walk. The old town is at walking distance as well although we preferred taking a taxi which is a 5-10 minute long ride.All the rooms were clean and the way they were decorated (especially the living room) created a very cosy feeling to the house. A downside was that not all the facilities were in good condition such as the dish washer and the washing machine, which both didn't drain properly so we couldn't use them for the whole week. And the airco in the small house was not working at all. Indoor facilities need better maintenance.

Good afternoon, Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with, the engineers have been down to the house to check both the washing machine and dishwasher and both were fine, we noticed there was no salt or dishwasher tablets in the machine, so it will not work well unless you use the appropriate cleaning products, Also the air-con in the annex, was in the fan position and not the air-con position, again if you had asked whilst you were here, this would have been pointed out, Best regards

Carpe Diem
The last week of April we went to Albufeira with almost our entire family i.e. 10 persons. We had a great time in the villa. Which had more than enough room for everyone. The best perk was the big garden with the swimming pool. We had a lot of fun over there :) And we all love to come back in the future. In my opinions that says more than enough!
2 tips:
* Please include (free) wi-fi in the deal (which is a basis necessity nowadays)
* Please make all beds for adults...I've been sleeping on a kids bed for a week which wasn't so good for my back. Despite that all great advantages of the villa are the things I am remembering ;-)
