This beats a hotel, just like being at home with every convenience. Stay Here!!!!
This apartment has to be No 1 in Amsterdam. It is our second time staying and we would never stay anywhere else. The owners are fantastic, very helpful and friendly, nothing is any trouble. The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated and the area is very easy to walk anywhere. Thoroughly recommend!!!

Great Location and Beautiful Apartment
Milan was very accommodating and greeted us on our arrival at midnight, still taking the time to show as around and offer us any assistance. We loved the aesthetic of the apartment and all of the incredible art on display, which we assume was mostly created by the owner. A real gem and I hope we can stay here again in the future

The Perfect Amsterdam home away from home
This is our second stay in Robert and Anna's meticulously crafted and cared for apartment. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Amsterdam, and will most definitely be back for another stay as soon as we can. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood that is nevertheless close to everything - tram stops are steps away and connect you to all directions in the city, Centraal, Sloterdijk and Zuid train stations are just short tram rides away, connecting you to anywhere you want to go in the Netherlands with ease. (If you need private wheels, there's a Sixt car rental shop just a couple of blocks away as well) The apartment is cosy, beautifully decorated with eclectic art, and fully equipped with washer/dryer, full kitchen and excellent wifi connections. It's easy walking distance to central Amsterdam - we mostly walked everywhere within the city. There are lots of restaurants nearby, ranging from traditional Netherlands food to Japanese, Indonesian,Persian, and others. Breakfast spots are nearby as well as a convenient grocery to stock up the kitchen, and a nice little wine shop right on the corner with a great selection. Anna and Robert are gracious and resourceful hosts - they will help you plan your adventures in Amsterdam and the Netherlands with great advice tailored to what you tell them you want to see and do.

Bright and spacious apartment in top location
The Art Apartment is located conveniently in the Costabuurt and close to the center, as well as Vondelpark. The bright and spacious apartment is well equipped with design furniture and all the necessary amenities to make your stay worthwhile. A big kitchen invites to cook or just to enjoy a coffee while gazing over the beautiful inner garden. Shower and toilet are separate and have a modern quality. I really enjoyed my longer stay here and would not hesitate to book again. Anna&Robert are kind and caring people. You will feel instantly at home here, no matter if you're staying a couple nights or longer. Thank you :)

Beautiful and charming apartment west of center Amsterdam
I had a fabulous time in Old West staying at Anna and Robert’s apartment. It is cosy, cute, charming and yet had everything I needed for a longer than average stay. Old world charm is accompanied by a modern shower and toilet and a very well equipped kitchen. If not sitting quietly admiring the art work, walks along the many waterways (kade) and visiting cafes will keep you amused. You are also close to many lovely and/or characteristic shopping streets. The Vondelpark is a short bike ride away. I hope to go back and stay in this great part of the city again!

We'd go back there in a minute!
Robert is a lovely host, gave a thorough tour of the apartment, and accommodated our early arrival. The kitchen is well appointed and had plenty of condiments for our use. The bathroom and shower were comfortable and modern. Plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfy and the pull out bed also very comfy, and we are picky about bed comfort! Very clean, plenty of linens and extra pillows/blankets. The only negative comment would be the steepness of the stairs up to the apartment, a fact which is very common in Amsterdam, so it's not a complaint, just a fact. However it was almost ladder-like and as middle aged women, we were very nervous about falling while descending. Robert brought up our luggage which was very kind of him, and we just took our time going up/down. I am sure younger patrons would not have a problem, and neither did we, just advise to use caution, and if you have severe mobility problems, then make sure there is an elevator. Thank you Robert for a marvelous stay, and rest assured we will want to stay again when we return to your lovely city!

Amazing All Round Experience
I cannot speak highly enough of the Art Apartment and hosts Robert and Anna. The apartment itself is beautiful. It reflects the local architecture, is comfortable and well laid out so as to be more than comfortable for two people and as we were there in December was always cosy and warm inside. The interior design - the colours, the artwork, the lighting, the collected pieces and the clever placement of all the above creates a beautiful space. I was a little concerned pre trip about the bed- it looks like a small space in the online photos but it's a full bed and we had no difficulties with it. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the necessary basics and a pleasure to work in if you're eating in. Be warned there is one flight of stairs- typical of Dutch architecture they are narrow and steep. However unless you have mobility issues this should not be a deterrent. Robert will help with getting baggage up and down and it's all part of the experience. The location- we loved it. Part of a local neighbourhood, very easy to get to from the airport (1 bus and a maybe 7 minute walk), Central and within walking distance from most attractions tourists would be interested in. We walked to Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, The 9 Streets and Dam Square just to name a few. And the wonderful De Hallen is just up the road. There are a couple of supermarkets within easy walking distance too. There is also a convenient tram line for getting into Central Station for day trips and which stops by the Dam Square area if you are too tired or cold to walk especially at the end of a long day exploring (line 13 and also I think line 17, both just around the corner). Finally Robert and Anna are genuinely wonderful hosts. They were both so welcoming and friendly, very interesting to talk to, clearly love their home and their city and really made us feel at home. I cannot wait to get back to Amsterdam and would not consider staying elsewhere now that I have found the Art Apartment.

Beautiful apartment, perfect hosts!
I can't fault this apartment at all, it's perfect. Well laid out, spacious and so beautifully decorated. Robert and Anna are great friendly hosts, who left stroopwaffels and snacks for me, provided good recommendations, and I even got to see Robert's art studio! Very easy to walk to the centre of Amsterdam from the apartment, and I felt safe and comfortable in the area as a single female traveller. Thanks for a lovely stay and hopefully I'll have a chance to visit again!

Fantastic Stay
My husband and I rented this super cute apartment during a recent 3-day stay in Amsterdam. It was great to stay in a more traditional home as opposed to a hotel like we’ve done before. Anna and Robert were so easy to work with and extremely friendly. The location was great and there were nice restaurants nearby as well as a terrific grocery store that also has a great selection of beer and wine. Everything we needed was close at hand. Thank you Anna and Robert for making the apartment available for rent.

Wonderful hosts, great location
The Art Apartment is well located in a nice neighborhood in Amsterdam, close to the tram which will take you all over the city. We were able to easily walk to the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gough Museum and many other attractions. There is a very good Albert Heijn Supermarket just a couple of blocks away. Our only complaint would be with the sleeping room which allowed for a side exit from the bed on only one side, but we adjusted to that and everything else was great. Robert and Anna are very nice people that you can tell are genuinely interested in the welfare of their guests. We enjoyed meeting them and feel like we now have friends in Amsterdam.
