A spacious, comfortable, beautifully designed private apartment with garden access in Amsterdam.
The bedroom has a double bed 160/200cm (or two separate beds 80x200cm) and in the sitting room is a very comfortable couch which can be turned into a bed of 160/200cm. The couch can also be turned into two separate beds (80x200 cm) or half bed and half couch. The luxurious bathroom has towel heating, hairdryer and necessities.
The rooms are separated by a sliding door.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave/oven, tea and nespresso, egg boiler, toaster and a dining space for 4. French doors open to the garden where you can sit and relax on a private terrace - weather permitting.
The apartment has a TV/DVD, a computer and printer and free Wifi. There are a select...

SPOT ON
Perfectly comfy, clean, private, convenient and friendly accommodation. We found some gems in the neighbourhood and very easy to get in and out of central Amsterdam. Our flight was v late but Victor was there to greet us . I would definitely recommend this place.

Grossartige Wohnung bei tollen Gastgebern
Wir waren zu dritt, mit Tochter, in der Wohnung. Sie ist schön eingerichtet, sehr gepflegt, äusserst ruhig und für 2-4 Personen ideal. Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Quartier, das mit Tram und U-Bahn sehr gut erschlossen ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Gastgeber waren überaus freundlich und unkompliziert.

A great place to stay and chill
Marit & Victor were super nice hosts, very agreeable and ready to help. The flat is big, clean and well equiped, it is ideal to stay and chill around. The flat is not far from the tram which makes it easy to access the center and south of the city quickly. A great place to stay!

Agréable logement très bien situé
Au calme, proche du tram et de toutes les commodités. Logement très lumineux, propre et bien équipé. Parfait pour 2 à 4 personnes. Propriétaires charmants et discrets.

Lovely apartment, great location.
Located outside of the city centre but there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. That said, the centre is just a short tram ride away so you have the best of both worlds. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher etc. We even had use of the computer and printer which proved very useful for printing attraction tickets and boarding passes. We travelled as 2 couples and the apartment was more than big enough for our needs. Although the owners were away during our stay, they arranged for a friend to meet us and Christie could not have been more helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Amsterdam.

Pleasant stay
We enjoyed staying at Marit and Victor’s. The accommodations were what we needed and comfortable. The neighborhood offers everything you could possibly need.

Amsterdam Escape!
Had a lovely stay in Amsterdam at the Guest room. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. The apartment is spotlessly clean and in the perfect location to get out and about. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Schönes kleines Appartement in guter Lage
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, ruhiges kleines Appartement, sehr gut mit dem Nötigstem ausgestattet. Sehr schöner kleiner Garten den wir aber aus Wettergründen nicht nutzen konnten. Ideal für 2 Leute oder kleine Familie.

We had a lovely time staying at the Guesthouse. The garden flat was comfortable. We appreciated much including the welcome by Marit, the explanations and the book re how everything worked and the description and map of the neighbourhood, the clean and comfortable apartment, nice garden (wish we had sat outside more), nice neighbourhood: felt safe, clean, friendly; lots of local restaurants, good transport links:- short walk to tram stop with frequent trams in to Centre, nearby supermarket, nearby park that we sat and relaxed in, lots of things to do in and around Amsterdam.... We had a great short holiday.

Très confortable et spacieux
Un petit appartement à 15 min en TRAM de la gare centrale. L'appartement est assez grand pour une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Accès pratique à la supérette du quartier en 2 minutes. Grand parc à proximité. Idéal pour un séjour à Amsterdam avec toute la famille.

About the neighborhood
Situated in the eastern part of the city near the centre of Amsterdam in a quiet friendly neighbourhood with a good selection of restaurants and shops and parks. Tram 19 takes you to the centre in just 10 minutes but if you prefer to get around like the locals we recommend bicycles!
Getting around
Travelling within Amsterdam by public transport is straightforward and convenient. The extensive network is operated by GVB and connects the city's neighbourhoods by train, tram, metro, bus and ferry.

How to get there
If you want to take a taxi from Schiphol airport to us you can make a reservation with a very reliable taxi company who have a fixed rate of 45 euro to our house. The number is +31 6 12 11 71 16, Schiphol Taxi (Marc) and you have to contact them a day in advance. If you prefer to get a taxi at the airport it will cost you around 60,- euros.
If you prefer to travel with public transport you can walk to the train station at the airport. Take a train that stops at 'Station Duivendrecht'. On arrival walk outside to the busstation and take bus 41 direction 'Muiderpoortstation' and depart at stop: 'Hogeweg'. From there you can walk to our house.
If you arrive at 'Amsterdam Central Station' take either metro 54 direction 'Gein', or metro 51 direction 'Westwijk' or metro 53 direction 'Gaasperplas' and depart at stop 'Weesperplein'. Walk outside to the tramstop and take tram 19 direction 'Diemen Sniep' to stop 'Hogeweg'. From there you can walk to our house.
If you arrive by car: parking is paid in Amsterdam and a day-ticket (form 9am - 9pm) in our neighbourhood is 23,50 euro. Sundays are free. Also a dayticket might not be usefull for the day you arrive, there is a machine on the corner of the street where you also can buy tickets per hour (3,- p/h).
Park & Ride (P+R) is the cheapest way to park your car. These car parks are located on the outskirts of the city near motorways and have excellent public transport connections.
