Villa Di Lupo Parra opens its doors and welcomes you in the seductive atmosphere of its beautiful apartments for a holiday of culture and good life. Don't miss the pleasure to learn the intriguing story of the fascinating lady Lauretta, a former owner of the villa, who was a muse for so many artists of her time. Located just 2 minutes from the motorway exit, the property is the ideal base for your art itineraries to Pisa, Lucca, Firenze, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Siena. A car is not necessary!! A free car service is available for guests to/from Pisa airport. Shops, restaurants and cafés are within walking distance, as well as a bus stop and a train station with direct trains for Pisa and Florence, and connections for the main cities of Tuscany. Besides the most famous art cities, discover some of the less known but none the less remarkable art treasures: picturesque villages, Roman churches and old monasteries in the countryside. On request, a taxi service is available for half-day or one-day trips in Tuscany. After a cultural tour, relax in the large garden which surrounds the villa, in the shadow of age-old trees. Do not miss walking in the hills, which offer a breathtaking view of the countryside.Tired of trips? Indulge in a relaxing massage or a beauty treatment at S. Giuiliano spa, just a few minutes travelling from the property.Public swimming pools and tennis courts are only 5 minutes away by car. Bicycles are available for guests, free of charge. The sea is not far, with beautiful beaches in Tirrenia (just 20 minutes away by car) and in Viareggio (30 minutes), as well as picturesque bays with cliffs and beaches near Livorno.Fond of Italian food? There are plenty of cosy restaurants in the area with a wide choice of traditional and creative dishes; in November and December do not miss the famous local white truffles, as well as excellent wines and pure olive oil from local producers. Italian kitchen classes and wine tasting are available on request. The apartment named ' Three centuries of art' is on the first floor of the villa; you will get there through the magnificent main stairs, which feature amazing frescoes on the walls and the ceiling. The rooms are bright, comfortable, smartly furnished with precious antiques, and with a beautiful view. The apartment is composed of a large living room, a romantic double bedroom, a trendy kitchen and a chic bathroom. Two additional single beds can be provided in the living room. Sky channels are available. This apartment is the most peculiar in the house as it is an extraordinary witness of the evolution of taste in fine arts over the centuries. During a recent restoration we have found on the walls of the living room, under some layers of common paint, three different frescoes one over the other, which date respectively from 18th, 19th and 20th century, and we have kept all of them in view, so you can see how the room has changed its look over the time. The frescoes featured in the bedroom depict the symbols of arts (music, architecture, sculpture and painting). The apartment is provided with a piano and its atmosphere is perfect to make art lovers feel at home and enjoy their stay here. Lists of events, restaurants, maps, itineraries, train and bus time table, gastronomic suggestions and shopping tips are at your disposal in the apartment. English, Italian and French books and magazines are available for borrowing. The owners live in the caste and are on hand to answer any questions. Early booking is necessary for kitchen classes and wine tasting.More
