When I booked this earlier this year the reviews helped reassure me that this was a good place to stay. They did not prepare me for how overwhelmed I would be when I saw the place. Pisa is wellknown for its leaning tower and the amazing Piazza dei Miracoli, which don't need any further description. But there are many other monuments and places which are well worth seeing while walking through the city centre, after having a drink in a stylish café or tasting a real Italian homemade ice cream. Not far from Pisa visit Calci, a nice old town in the country with its beautiful Certosa, S. Miniato (a medieval town with landscapes on Arno valley and countryside), S. Piero a Grado (basilica).In June a festival is held in Pisa, called "Giugno Pisano" with music, traditonal games, exhibitions. On June 16th at night "Luminaria di S.
