A wonderful place to relax and rest, and to get back in touch with nature and yourself. Views are wonderful, surroundings are peaceful, but more human activity is close at hand in the local village and in Lucca itself, which is less than 30 minutes drive away. This was a fantastic destination for a group comprising of two couples. We were exhausted following four very busy days in Rome and needed a quiet break to regenerate some energy. The nearest airport is Pisa international only 45 minutes drive from Castello. <BR>Pisa has daily flights to and from the UK. Budget airlines including Ryanair and Easyjet fly here<BR>BA and AlItalia have scheduled flights and there is now an International service from the USA 3 times a week with Delta.<BR>The airport is right next to the motorway which runs to Lucca and there is a train station at the airport with connections to Lucca. <BR>All the major hire car companies are represented at the airport. If you fly Ryanair they will discount your car hire if you book with Hertz. <BR>
