Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad that you found the villa to be beautiful, of a good size and the views to be amazing! In regards to some of your comments, we would like to clarify a few things as follows. First of all, the villa is located in the city of Florence, so we really do not know what you exactly mean when you say “the part of Florence in which this house is located is not geared for tourists”, as Florence is probably the most tourist-friendly city in Italy! In regards to the distance from the property to the city center of Florence, this is the very first time that we have received such feedback, since the distance from the villa to the heart of the city is usually the most convenient aspect of the property, for all of our guests!! The villa is located within a short walk from excellent grocery stores & take-out places, restaurant, cafes, shops, etc as well as a bus stop with 3 bus lines, that quickly take directly into the heart of town (bus tickets can be easily purchased pretty much anywhere, including nearby the property). So there is actually plenty of choices to have a great Italian breakfast or lunch nearby, within walking distance, perhaps it is just that you did not take the time to explore those during your visit (some of our guests actually "dream" of being back so to have breakfast or doing take-out at the cafe and grocery stores nearby, as they found those to be outstanding!). The supermarket (of excellent quality, modern and very large, with underground parking) is actually located only 1.3 mile away, so it is definitely very close the property!.. Many of our guests commute in and out the city center on foot, without any problem, or just walk from the villa to the nearest bus stop to catch the bus. To reach the beginning of the historical district of Florence (Porta Romana square), the distance is just about a mile away. Once entering Porta Romana, many tourist attractions such as Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens, and Ponte Vecchio can be found. Prior to your arrival, we provided a thorough Guest Information Booklet that included specific details (with maps) about the different means of transportation available to you, including by car, by bus, or on foot so that you and your guests could decide which one would have worked out the best, based on the distances and the suggested roads. The booklet also contained other useful details about the property, available services, and plenty of recommended things to do and places to see in the area. We created this in efforts to be as hospitable as possible and to provide our guests with the most useful information for the planning of their stay in Italy. Throughout your stay, we have helped you with any questions that you had right away and in general, we always go the extra mile to ensure that all of our guests’ wishes are met. So we are definitely one of the most hospitable hosts in Florence! We hope that we will be able to welcome you back to the property in the future so that you can have a wonderful experience, as all of our other guests have had.
