In the very heart of Florence between the vitality of the popular neighborhood of Sant ' Ambrogio and the privacy and elegance of the Jewish district with their wonderful Synagogue. The apartment is in the historic center of Florence within walking distance of all the main monuments and places of interest : a 5-minute walk from Florence Cathedral (DUOMO) , 7 min to Piazza Santa Croce, Academy (where you find David, by Michelangelo) and 10 min from the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery . Surrounded by the lively neighborhood of Sant'Ambrogio, that keep on the real Tuscany culture, you can find the old traditional craft shops. Every last sunday of the month, you can enjoy an antique market, in Piazza Ghiberti e Piazza dei Ciompi, where you may discover interesting objects from the past, prints, books, coins and jewellery. The famous local food market of Sant'Ambrogio you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, Tuscan bread, cheese, and all kinds of home-made pasta. There are also all facilities around our apartment as hairdresser, laundry, pharmacy, convenience store, fast food, daily markets, restaurants and bars. Do not miss the chance to see the memorable sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo! It is an amazing view from the top of the city! The owners also suggest for the guests a special day outside of the city, to know one of the most important wine region, the Chianti. We strong recommend a visit to 'Fattoria Corzano e Paterno', located 25km from the city in the way to Siena. There you can taste and buy all their products – wine, cheese and olive oil – and also see where they are produced. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 1,30 pm, and tastings are held on the courtyard in front of the shop overlooking the hills or in their tasting rooms which are incorporated into Corzano's ancient walls. For full tastings with dairy and cellar tours reservation is essential. Contact them on their website.More
