Pilari Farm is located in 'Val di Pierle', a small valley between Tuscany and Umbria, not far from Cortona. Pilari Farm is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering peace and tranquility. You can rediscover the rhythms of nature, immersed in natural surroundings. You can visit the towns of the two regions like Siena, Montepulciano, Assisi, Florence, Cortona and Gubbio, or you can simply sunbathe by the pool and relax in the Jacuzzi.

A stay at our farm is ideal for those who want to relax and simply enjoy the peace that only a place in the countryside can bring. Since our farm sits, almost literally, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, we can also offer the opportunity of day trips to towns and villages in both regions.
For those who love walking in the woods there are trails leading to various places of interest like, for example, Pierle Castle or indeed our own vineyard. These trails are of varying difficulty to suit a range of abilities and ambitions. Opportunities to just have fun are also plentiful ranging from local festivals and traditional events to a wealth of local cuisine to be sampled.

Leave Motorway A1 (Autostrada del Sole) at Valdichiana exit and take the expressway Siena-Perugia (towards Perugia). At “Tuoro sul Trasimeno”, exit follow the road – signs for Umbertite and Mercatale. The farm is situated on the right, 1 km. after Mercatale along the road for Cortona.
