Maurizio (the owner) is on hand to organise boat trips to the Aeolian Islands that are only 45 minutes away by speedboat and wine tours to acquaint the authentic tastes of Sicily near the Villa there are the Peloritani Mountains where you can hike up to the top (Dinnammare) on which stands a small church and you can enjoy the contemporary view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and The Ionian Sea and the Strait of Messina.
Not far from Villa Le Zagare, Tindari is known for the shrine of the Black Madonna, the Greek theater and the natural ponds of seawater of Marinello.
Necessary step to visitors to Sicily Taormina and Mount Etna are all within easy reach from the Villa and can be visited along with lesser-known but equally location evocative of the Ionian coast as the Alcantara gorges and the castle of Calatabiano.
