We stayed here for 2 nights during Easter. The apartment is in a building that was built in 1932, making it one of the rare WWII era places still standing. The elevator takes some getting used to, as it probably dates from 1960 or so. The apartment itself is fully up to date with good WiFi and TV sets in the bedrooms and the living room. There are 2 full baths, including one with a stall shower, which was convenient for our family of two adults and two teenage boys. The bedrooms are relatively spacious for a city flat.It was also quite clean. It was very nice to come back to at the end of a long day of walking and touring as the beds were quite comfortable and the living space pleasant. There is a quiet courtyard too. The street it's on is reasonably quiet but not really notable per se.
The location was also great. It's right near Corso Como (I think that was the name of the Corso) that has a nice choice of outdoor/indoor restaurants where we ate both nights of our stay and a lovely arch. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the Duomo. There's the Gae Aulenti complex (mini-mall, bookstore, office buildings) half a block away, which has its own central courtyard where people come to walk and chat in the late afternoon/early evenings. There is also a nice urban park nearby and another apartment building which is famous for appearing to have a forest planted all over it. It's located near Porto Garibaldi train stop which, it should be noted, does not have an escalator or elevator for transiting from the express train from Malpensa Airport. However, it was quite convenient when we didn't have luggage as there was good subway access.
Finally, the gentleman who welcomed us to the apartment was very patient with all our questions and gave a lot of useful information, plus a nice bottle of red wine. Good food, good stay, good wine - all that one can ask for.
