Many people like to stay here even in winter, lake is beautiful even in that season and you can go SKIING to Madesimo, Piani di Bobbio, St.Moriz, approximately 1h, 1,3h

This has to be the best apartment I’ve ever stayed at in Italy. The views are totally amazing. The apartment has everything you could need and a gift and fresh flowers awaited me. Mary met me at the station on arrival and took me back at departure. Despite having to change dates due to covid, Mary has been a fantastic host and I highly recommend a stay here!

Breathtaking view of Lake Como
Amazing view of Lake Como. A quick walk to town, restaurants, and shops. Super friendly and accommodating. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer.

A great break for 3 - fantastic apartment
Wow! An amazing time here. Mary and her son met us at The train station - we were very delayed so we really appreciated being picked up so late. The apartment was spotlessly clean - lovely comfortable beds. Plenty of towels for your stay. Good shower and kitchenette - coffee provided was lovely!
The balcony of course really makes the stay with amazing views and being able to please yourself and eat there too!
Very close to the ferries which we used and 5-8 mins walk down to the town. We walked to the castle - worth it for the amazing views! We also hired a speed boat and kayaks which was great fun. The restaurants were also very good and Natrulamente just around the corner did an amazing picnic and breakfast.

Just right and in just the right place
The casa is a stone's throw from the Varenna ferry terminal, and a 5 minute walk (along the water path) to Varenna town. You get the privacy but are still right where you need to go, just down the hill from the train station.
And the casa has a **large** outdoor patio with the most panoramic view of the Lake Como. It is hard to imagine a better setting for coffee/cocktails/dinner/whatever, looking out and across the lake.
The villa itself is exactly as advertised, roomy, clean, full useful kitchen.
If you are put off by climbing 2+ flights of stairs (there is no elevator) this is likely not the casa for you.

Wonderful
Although we were not lucky enough to stay in the apartment with the balcony we were very happy in the one with the beautiful views from every window.... Great host... Comfy bed...and spotlessly clean Accomodation.... Highly recommended

Great apartment with fantastic views
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mary.
Mary picked us up from the station when we arrived at Varenna and took us to the apartment which saved us having to carry our bags. She even left us a small welcome gift.
The apartment is just across the road from the ferry terminal and only 5 minutes walk from the train station making getting around really easy, and we had amazing views from every window and especially the large balcony.
We're already planning our return trip!

Perfect Lake Como stay
We spent three days at Casa Mary Balcony. The apartment was clean and comfortable but what made it stand out were the amazing views from all windows and especially the large balcony terrace. Having never been to lake como, I was not sure if it would make a difference to be on the ferry side (new Varenna). It did not. Old Varenna was a easy, quick and beautiful walk along lake or along road above. The apartment had everything one could need including comfortable bed, sofa (with hideaway), kitchen and even washer. No need for air conditioning even in very hot weather given breeze off lake. Terrace balcony wonderful spot for wine and sunset over mountains. With ferry across street, incredibly easy to hop on to visit other towns. Need to be okay with stairs and very European (ie small) shower. Neither bothered us at all. A lovely stay and we highly recommend!

Stunning views of Lake Como
The apartment was comfortable and overlooked the lake. The views from the apartment were an ever-changing panorama that made the location ideal. The apartment is close to restaurants and shops. Be aware that the apartment is four flights up--we got used to it. We are light sleepers, and we slept well. It was quiet enough, only an occasional dog barking and a bit of village noise during the day. The kitchen was fine for simple meals. We only did our breakfasts and lunches. Mary and her son were easy to communicate with.

Home away from home
Great location close to everything. We stayed 10 days and everything was perfect from the moment we booked. Mary picked us up from the station and Andrea answered any questions we had promptly. The apartment amenities are of very good quality, comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of linen, lovely bathroom and plenty of kitchen utensils even cute placemats and teatowels. Great sofa and comfortable outdoor furniture. The space is very welcoming light and bright. Mary left roses from her garden and a welcome gift too. The terrace/balcony was superb all day with views to the mountains and over the lake. Views also from the dining area that are amazing. Highly recommended, would rate it higher than 10 out of 10 if we could.

Beautiful apartment and beautiful views. Great position. Very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was very welcoming and friendly.
She gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.
