We stayed at Casa di Bine for 6 weeks in July/August 2024. My Husband taught a summer course to college students at the university's Roman campus located steps away from the Colosseum. It was a 5 minute walk to the classroom building making our location perfect for his commute.
We traveled with our two young children. Guisppenna, the host of Casa di Bine, met us upon our arrival and was so kind to our children, helping us get settled and making us all feel comfortable and excited for our Roman holiday. She speaks perfect English and was so wonderful helping me find a preschool summer camp for our 5-year-old to keep him entertained during the day. The school, Instituto Santa Maria, is a 7 minute walk. The teachers were fabulous and our son enjoyed playing with other children under the incredible centuries old trellis that shades the school's playground.
My two-year-old enjoyed a children’s park nearby, which is not shaded, but nice to visit before the hot sun. Guisppena also recommended a website called Sitily where we found a great sitter for date nights and daytime help with our daughter. I am an avid Tennis player and was able to find an excellent redclay club, Tennis Roma AD, a 20 minute walk away up towards San Giovanni Laterano and down an easy hill on Via dell' Amba.
Gusippenna arranged a car service to and from the airport and a transfer to a beach club for a day where we had a great time. We booked chairs and an umbrella on an app called Spiagg.it. The beach club was called Nuova Pineta. Everything with the transfers was smooth sailing and a fair price. We also enjoyed a weekly cleaning service that was another great experience arranged by Guisppenna. Guisppennna and I communicated on WhatsApp and she was incredibly responsive.
The flat itself is more spacious than we expected. It is very hot in July. There were many 100 degree days, but the AC at Casa di Bine was perfect. Both bedrooms and the main living room have remote-controlled ceiling units that kept us nice and cool. We cooked several meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed easy nights with the kids. We connected the smart TV with our Netflix and other streaming accounts. The internet worked well. The laundry worked great too, and Guisppena provides ample drying racks for hang drying clothes.
The neighbors and doorman were all friendly and welcoming. We stayed on the 4th floor. The lift is small but works well. The neighborhood in Collesso is vibrant, filled with wonderful trattorias and bars. Don't miss touring San Clemente, the church at the top of Via Clemente. It has 4 layers of history dating back to an early Roman Mithraic Temple on the very bottom complete with an underground spring.
There is a bus stop right across the street to take you to the city center in 5 or so stops. The Manzoni Metro stop is an 8 minute walk, and there is an easy tram stop nearby to take you to Trastevere as well. Casa di Bine location is central, but you might find you need public transport on days when it is too hot to walk.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa di Bine, and I highly recommend it.

Incredible Accommodation for Families!
Giuseppina’s apartment is an amazing gem! Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. We had plenty of space for our family of 2 adults and 3 teens. Wonderful neighborhood with many restaurants nearby. A short walk to the colosseum and metro. Giuseppina provides a wonderful guide with her recommended restaurants and useful information. She made us feel like family. We will definitely stay again!!

Super Lage mit lieber Vermieterin
Die Ferienwohnung unweit des Kolosseums ist wunderbar gelegen. Es war alles sauber und im einwandfreiem Zustand. Mit einer Gruppe von 4-6 Personen super!
Giuseppina, die Vermieterin ist eine von Herzen liebe Frau von der man auch super Tipps für die Stadt erhalten kann. Sie hat sich auch während der Zeit nach unserem Wohlbefinden informiert.
Jederzeit würden wir wieder diese Wohnung mieten für eine Reise nach Rom!

21st Birthday Celebration
Lovely location close to the Colosseum which became the backdrop for evening meals/drinks. Apartment can sleep up to six people and benefits from having separate bathroom and shower room, each with a toilet. Apartment is on fourth floor but can be accessed via a small lift. Kitchen has everything required for a short break. Apartment has air conditioning.

Perfect apartment in a beautiful city
My family (2 adults, 2 teens) had the most wonderful holiday staying at Casa di Bine. It's a beautiful apartment in a gorgeous building, accessed by stairs or a small lift. The apartment is a lovely space and well-furnished, air conditioning was definitely appreciated as we were there during a heatwave. Everything was spotlessly clean, with convenient supermarkets directly across from the building and in surrounding supermarkets. We didn't get to meet Giuseppina but she answered all queries very quickly and was very helpful arranging transfers to/from the airport. Her friend and neighbour, Cesare, greeted us with keys and gave us weary travellers bottles of cold water, which we were very grateful for, we really appreciated his kindness. The apartment's location was perfect for us, we loved having the Colosseum, the Forum and Domus Aurea within a 5/10 minute walk from us. The apartment was set back from the main road and we slept very well - beds and pillows were comfortable. Unfortunately the metro line serving that area was closed for refurbishment during our visit so we had to take costly Ubers a few times as it was too hot to walk to the Vatican and to other activities. I would highly recommend Casa di Bine and would definitely stay there again on future trips to Rome.

Fantastic trip to Rome
Great location, beautiful apartment, first class owner. Would recommend to all my friends, when we visit Rome again this would be #1 on our list.

Great location and host
The apartment is about 200 meters from the Colosseum and Roman Forum. It's an excellent location. There is a taxi rank across the street from the Colosseum so it's never hard to catch a cab from the apartment if you need one, which you might from time to time (e.g., Vatican). There are excellent restaurants within walking distance; we followed Giusippina's advice and were happy to have done so. Good restaurants require reservations. The apartment is excellent; it has two good-sized bedrooms with a large living room that can serve as third bedroom. By going in November we enjoyed excellent weather for touring sites, and the number of tourists and line-ups seemed to be a little less. There is a bike rental shop at the apartment's entrance. We rented electric bikes and had a tour guide take us through parts of Rome. It was excellent: one the highlights of the trip. (Make sure you take an electric bike; biking for three hours becomes effortless.) Finally, I would be remiss if I did not note and thank Giusippina for friendly, warm and professional service. To say the least, our trip from Canada was a nightmare - two missed flights, arriving about 26 hours after we had planned; our luggage arrived three days later. I was in constant contact with Giussippina. She was sympathetic and helpful as I scheduled and rescheduled things. It made a huge difference. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Charming lift!
We very much appreciate Giuseppina and her thoughtful communications and assistance. Arriving Rome after a long flight, it was so helpful for her to arrange transportation for us. She then met us at the apartment to show us how everything worked. Additionally, she made an extra trip to the apartment due to our misunderstanding the air conditioning controls!
The apartment is very comfortable and clean. It was well situated for two couples. The amenities were plentiful and bedding good quality. It was quiet and very safe. An comfortable spot to recover from jet lag and start our Italy adventure!
In terms of location, we were able to walk most places we visited. Photo attached was taken across the street from our building! Coffee and grocery stores quite close as described. The train and bus system were available but we prefer walking. Used “Free Now” app based rides for a couple of late nights, although we felt perfectly safe wandering back late at night.

Clean quiet condo in the center of Rome
This unit is very close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, the top two attractions of Rome. There are plenty of restaurants and small grocery stores nearby so you can easily get your needs met. Giuseppina, our thoughtful hostess, speaks English very well. She walked us through the unit, making sure that we know how to operate the washing machine, wifi connection, and air conditioning. We found the unit clean, functional, and quiet at night. Perfect for a small family vacation in Rome!

Excelent place to stay in Rome for a small familiy
Casa di Bine is an excellent place to stay in Rome, especially if you are a small family. The flat is very comfortable, the beds are big and comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
The flat is located very close to the Colosseum and the main area of Imperial Rome so it is very convenient.
The attention of the owners is excellent and they make it very easy for you to find your way around the city.
