The apartment is on the second floor of an early 20th century building ; with two large air conditioned bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a foldable bed provides comfortable sleeping arrangement for up to five guests.
A spacious living room with well equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven, microwave , toaster, kettle, dishwasher) and dining area provides enough space and facilities for a self-catering stay. High chair available on request.
The family bathroom, with shower, is fully equipped and includes hair drier , washing machine and
boiler for (unlimited) hot water and central heating.
Iron, ironing board and airing facilities are also available.
For guests' safety a full set of equipments is provided (emergency lighting, smoke sensors in the rooms, gas safety valves on the kitchen range, gas sensor in the kitchen, fire estinguisher, first aid kit)
High speed WiFi throughout and Ethernet access is available at no charge.
One of the best street food markets (Piazza San Giovanni Di Dio) and other food stores are at walking distance. Several restaurants, “pizzerie” and “trattorie” are available in the area.
Car parking in the area is free of charge, however a garage with wery reasonable prices is located at less than 150 meters fro the house.
An EUROPCAR car rental office is located in the same building block.
Small pets are welcome with previous agreement with owner. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, smoking addicted however can smoke on the balcony.
The house is equipped with a baby bed, high chair and soft top for changing babies.
The property contains a comprehensive welcome manual with all the aspects of the apartment as well as appliances instructions and supplementary local contacts.
Finally, Federico - the owner - lives locally and is usually available should there be assistance or information a guest needs. Check-in is performed in person, at which point a full tour is given, any question answered and keys handover performed.

Exactly what we needed
The homeowner, Federico, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. The location was ideal. Plenty of eating and shopping within walking distance and only a short cab ride to the Colosseum and Vatican City. The home was equipped with everything we needed. We hope to come back again someday soon.

Convenient to get tram to the city
Apartment was quite nice but be warned that it is on the 2nd floor (46 steps up) to drag your luggage. The owner could not have been more helpful and went over the top. Everything was there that you would need except no TV or radio. The owner has taken the suggestion of a radio to heart.
The main bedroom was huge and even had a little balcony. Also a second bedroom. Unfortunately during our visit the building was covered in scaffolding as work was being done. We knew this in advance though but still went ahead with our booking. You will hear sirens all the time as the hospital is nearby and it is on a main road. All windows had shutters on the outside plus a cover to close over the inside of the windows which cut down the noise drastically.
There a few restaurants around and a supermarket down a couple of blocks before the tram stop. Purchase tram/bus tickets at the tobacchi (tobacconist) at the tram stop. About 20 minutes into Rome, we did it every day. €1.50 euros for one person return. Use on both buses and trams. Tram No.8 both directions. Terminates at Rome and you catch it back from the same place.

Como en casa
Somos una familia con tres hijos. Estuvimos hace unos días alojados en este apartamento durante nuestra visita a Roma y la verdad es que todo lo que tenemos que decir es favorable.El apartamento es tal cual sale en las fotografías, las habitaciones son amplias, la cocina completa no falta de nada.Es un segundo sin ascensor pero no se hace pesado para nada subir.La ubicación es perfecta fuera del bullicio pero muy bien comunicado en tranvia y bus,paradas delante del apartamento.Nosotros fuimos en nuestro vehículo y no tubimos ningún problema para aparcar cerca y gratuitamente.A destacar Federico que en todo momento antes de llegar nos resolvió todas nuestras dudas y al llegar tenía preparadas algunas cosas para el desayuno del primer día ,un buen detalle por su parte. También nos explicó con todo detalle todo lo referente al piso,alrededores ,desplazamientos. ..Cosa que también tiene preparada en una guía con todo detalle disponible en el apartamento.Si volviéramos a Roma sin duda volveríamos a alojarnos aquí.Muchas gracias por todo Federico

You must stay here!
This apartment was fantastic! Great location! We showed up unsure of what we were going to do and how we were going to get there. Federico (the owner) solved everything! He arranged our transport to and from the airport. He met us at the apartment and went over everything with us. (Even info on the bidet😀). He has a “book” that has every piece of info you could want. He had a bit of food stocked for us as well. Taking the tram to the major sites was soooo easy (even for non-city people!!!). Lots of food places, supermarket and pharmacy all within walking distance. You get to see all the sites of Rome, which are crammed with people and then after an easy 10 min tram it is peaceful. Can’t say enough about this place. Air conditioned as well which was a huge bonus as it was so hot. We will highly recommend this place to anyone we know😀

Eine schöne Woche in Rom!
Wir waren eine Woche in Rom und haben alle Vorzüge der Wohnung genossen.
Die Lage ist ideal für alle, die nicht nur das touristische Rom kennenlernen wollen.
Verkehrstechnisch ist sie perfekt an Bus und Tram angebunden.
Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich, hilfreich und zuvorkommend.
Alle seine Tips und Anregungen sind sehr gut.
P.s.:
Wer genug von der Stadt hat, sollte unbedingt einen Ausflug an den Strand machen.

Wonderful apartment
This is a wonderful apartment to stay in if you are visiting Rome. Firstly our host Frederico was very kind and helpful and could not do enough to assist us in planning our trip. He arranged our transfer from the airport and greeted us at the apartment!! He recommended websites which we could book tours through and recommended places where we could eat which were yummy and very reasonable. We would have been lost without him. It was like having a friend in Italy.
Frederick also recommended an excellent place across the road for coffee and pastries.
The apartment itself is very convenient to all major tourist attractions and a fresh food market. It is very clean, comfortable and well maintained.
Overall highly recommended.

Fantastic Apartment & equally Fantastic Host!
We stayed in Fredreico’s apartment for 4 days & the place is fabulous! The best part of the location was that it was not in a touristy locality however most conveniently connected - the tram stop just below the apartment takes you right to the centre of all the tourist spots. Also some excellent eating joints , takeaways & restaurants located within 100 meters of the apartment. The apartment is large airy and extremely airy and well appointed with a stocked kitchen - here I must mention about the host - he took special care to not only stock the kitchen with tea coffee etc but graciously put cookies , bread , biscuits, juice & milk along with with butter marmalade etc etc. so we were stocked very well not only for the next day but also for full 3 days!!! We were touched !!
As we reached on Sunday he graciously bought us a Roma pass for public transport as well - which I found was really a gracious gesture ! He. Received us when we arrived & also did see us off - all information were made available with maps in a folder to us - it was that organized !!
Always available for any query or help - Fredreico was Simply Fabtastic!!!
I may be failing to mention some stuff here but he is amazing !! I would love to go back to Rome once again & stay here !!

Runa, Dip and their little princess have been wonderful guests. They prepared with great precision their arrival and communicated in advance to make sure all was needed was there. The house has been left in perfect conditions, clean and with everything in order. One cannot ask for more.... Sincerely hope to see them again-

Fabulous apartment, fantastic host!
We absolutely loved our stay at Kandinsky House. The apartment is fabulous - large, airy and spacious and fully equipped for our family of 5 (adults). The decor is quirky and fun, yet practical and immaculately clean. The location is perfect, far from the crowds, yet a simple 15 -20 minute tram ride (no 8) which runs from early morning to midnight to all the major tourist attractions. It is also close to Trastevere, which we found to be a wonderful, lively, non-touristy place to stop off in the evenings to eat/drink and wander the pretty streets with a gelato. As others have mentioned, Federico is such a fantastic and charming host! Communication was excellent from first contact when booking and throughout our trip ( knowing we could contact via WhatsApp during our stay if we needed to was very reassuring) and he met us at the apartment and saw us off at check out. He arranged worry free transfers to/from the airport/train station and provided us with all the information we needed for a stress free stay in Rome. There is a folder in the apartment that he has taken time to compile, packed full of advice/information- we took photos of his transport maps and recommendations and referred to them often when out and about! He also provided us with a welcome starter pack of milk/juice and breakfast provisions and some tram tickets for our first journey, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Rome is a wonderful city, our only regret is not having longer there, but we very much hope to return soon and would not hesitate to stay at this lovely apartment again. Thank you Federico from us all.

I start to believe that I am lucky... I continue to host fantastic people. Mark and his family have been perfect guests. Nice communications before and during their stay. Needless to say that everything was in order when they left and the house was left perhaps even cleaner than on arrival. Hope to be able to see them again either in Roma or in the UK.
