The apartment provides also lines and towels. This apartment has been recentry restored so you can admire the antique ceiling in wood and the floor in 16th century brick in 'red cotto' The Area The centre of the city of Rome is a picturesque area of cobbled lanes, lively squares, fashionable bars and renaissance palazzos as well as the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, the Spanish Steps and an infinite series of monuments, museums and churches containing many of greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini. The city centre is also the centre of Italian political life, and indeed the bars and restaurants surrounding Montecitorio and the Senate are often frequented by well known local and national politicians. In ancient times, the area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon was known as Campo Marzio, and was used as an outlying arena for sports and military exercises. However it was the 17th century Baroque masters - Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini – that gave the area its current appearance. Indeed, their churches, fountains and palazzos still inspire the same awe and wonder as they did when they were first built 350 years ago. The area is well furnished with small restaurants offering typical Roman cuisine and bars in which to stop for a while after visiting one of the city’s monuments. The most famous bars in the area are Caffé Sant’Eustachio and Gelateria Giolitti, both of which are located close to our apartment. More

The room was historic, beautiful, and spacious. The location was perfect - next to restaurants, bus stops, but on a quiet, peaceful street. The landlord was so friendly and helpful, he even brought us flowers for our honeymoon stay! Would recommend it.
