About the neighborhood
Gianicolense is situated in Trastevere and in the heart of the Eternal City
and is on top of one of the seven hills of Rome, it's just like staying on
topmost part of Rome where just nearby you can experience the breath-
taking view of the city and its neighborhood.
This area is a fantastic place to walk and explore.
There is a lot of history here and many restaurants to eat at, bars and this
is the place where local people mingles.
At dusk this becomes a hot spot of locals who parade the streets and eat
their suppers.
This area connects the Vatican with the Ancient central Rome although it is
across the Tiber.
Getting around
Lazio is the center of Italy where Rome is and it is sometimes called 'the
Eternal City', it is also the capital city attracting visitors from all over the
world to see its ruins, Renaissance squares, museums, piazzas, fountains,
and baroque churches and even beaches.

Airport: Ciampino: 8.7 mi
Railway: Trastevere: 0.9 mi
Ferry: Civitavecchia: 42.3 mi
From Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci Airport) or Ciampino Airport go to
Termini Station.
From Termini Station (Rome main train station) exit by the west gate (near
platform 24), turn right and cross the street.
Take bus number “75” lane “Poerio” and get off at “Carini/Pilo” stop.
At “Carini/Pilo” stop cross the street and follow below directions.
We are at number 70 and look for the big green doors made of metal and
glass.
Find the buzz board at the right side of the door, buzz 'Scala Righetto'.
