'barceloneta' city beach and old port can be reached in a 20 minutes walk or a 5-minute taxi ride.
The apartments date from the year 1900 and have original 'escofet' tiled floors and period features.
We have worked carefully with designers and specialists to retain the original building features whilst bringing the apartments into the 21st century by including a stylish modern kitchen, bathroom, comfortable living room and dining area and a period balcony looking over great period architecture. There is a free Wifi fibre-optic connection and the apartment (1-b) has climate control air-conditioning.
In our opinion this is one of the best areas for visiting Barcelona because of its central location and historical heritage. The apartment is very peaceful at night and at weekends. There are great cafes, bars and restaurants close by which we can recommend and we have personally tried. The closest metro stations (Urquinaona (l-1 red line and Tetuan L-2 purple line and Girona L-4 yellow line) are only 2-3 minutes walk from the flat.
The building does not have its own private parking because it is a protected building, but a small privately-run car park is close to the apartment (less than one minute walk). Otherwise, paid street parking is also available in the area.
Bathroom towels and linen are provided as well as basic toiletries, cleaning products and a welcome pack.
There are no hidden costs. Cleaning and taxes are included in the basic price.
A taxi should only take you around 15 minutes from Barcelona Sants railway station, 30 minutes from Barcelona El Prat Airport and 20 minutes from the cruise port. We can help reserve taxis on departures. Other public transport options are also available.

In the heart of the city where everyone wishes they would have chosen
The apartment is perfect, and we would recommend it to anyone that is planning a trip Barcelona . The owner's willingness to meet us on our arrival at a late hour was beyond expectations.
The location is great and close to many restaurants we enjoyed (Pirienu en Boca is perfect for late night take away when the daily ventures resulted in a desire to simply grab a meal to go and return to the apartment, rather than eat out). The meat was excellent, and that is coming from Texans!
We especially enjoyed the Picasso Museum and the Joan Miro Foundation. Stunning pieces of those two masters’works.
Adapting to the Spanish Culture of late lunch followed by siestas was a welcome treat. Even tourists need respite when there are so many options for entertainment in this wonderful city.
I truly wish every place could be as perfect as this one.

A great place to stay in Barcelona!!
Flat 1A (two bedroom, two bath) was perfect for our 3 person family and Isabel, the owner, is great to work with. It is in an awesome location and quiet neighborhood. The apartment is clean and there is a double size bed in each room. The main suite bathroom is a good size with both a shower and bathtub. The second bathroom, with only a shower, is small but still very useful. The kitchen is also cozy but perfect for making a quick meal. It comes furnished with most everything you need to cook/serve simple meals. La Rambla/Placa de Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter are a short 10-min walk away. There are a few grocery stores (Mercadona, Lidl, Bon Preu) in close proximity (Bon Preu is the closest and best). Some great restaurants are nearby. Remini Remini is wonderful for lunch/dinner and just around the corner from the flat. Villa Bakery is perfect for breakfast or evening coffee. Also try Les Dues Silicies in the Gothic Quarter (Carrer del Rec Comtal) for some of the best pizza and calzones.

Barcelona wonderful
Our time in Barcelona was enhanced by our stay at Apartment 1A. The location is perfect for site seeing, shopping and food. The apartment itself was roomy and comfortable. Isabel welcomes us and was available for any questions or problems. She even stocked the refrigerator with essentials like water, juice, coffee and chocolate! The ability to do laundry was so nice as we had been traveling for 2 weeks. Thank you Isabel.

Fabulous centrally located apartment
Everything about this apartment surpassed our expectations, It's really luxurious in a beautiful building. Only 10 minutes walk away from all the interesting landmarks and an easy walk to Las Ramblas. We booked for ten days and were a bit worried we might not have enough to keep us occupied but we filled every day without getting bored. Lots of good local restaurants, several of which we ate at, thanks to Isabel's recommendation. The hop on hop off bus tour is a good starting point to get your bearings and the.local taxi service is also reliable and reasonably priced. We also recommend a visit to Sitges, a lovely town and only a 30 min train journey,
We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Isabel's apartment again, it's just got everything you could possibly want or need.

Had it Made in the Shade!
Absolute perfection. Close to everything. Supermarkets two blocks away. Organic farm to table restaurant and take out a few doors down. All on a quiet shady street.

Beautiful apartment- just perfect 👌🏻
My husband and I rented the apartment for four nights and it was great to have two bedrooms and two baths to spread out. The place is really cool with incredible Spanish floor tiles in this beautiful old building with high ceilings and beautiful terraces off the living room and master bath that overlooked a quintessential European type of backyard/piazza. Our host Isabel explained everything and was super nice. We walked everywhere!!! Perfect location. Everything was modernized (kitchen and baths). We loved it!!

wonderful urban apartment in Barcelona
This Barcelona apartment is beautifully remodeled while still having original tile floors. The two bedrooms and baths are comfortable and appropriate for two couples or a small family. The owner was responsive and very thoughtful - she provided some hospitality items that made us feel very welcome. The apartment was quiet but conveniently located in an urban area with easy access to transportation and stores. The owner met us promptly at arrival and arranged a taxi for us to the airport at the end. The apartment was also very clean and had all kitchen conveniences one would expect. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this apartment.

Warm experience in a modern updated accommodation in a heritage building
Our family vacation stay of 3 days in Barcelona started with a very warm welcome by the host Isabel who showed a genuine interest in ensuring our stay was pleasant and comfortable. She walked us through the details of the property and shared all the useful tips in terms of the amenities nearby, places of interest and recommended dining options. We briefly discussed on common interests and dining experiences. Isabel’s place has been fully upgraded with modern amenities while retaining the heritage features and is maintained very well. The accommodation is so well surrounded by bakeries, cafe, restaurants, metro stations within walking distance. It is only 10 minutes of walking distance from Renfe station Arc de Triumf which means you can save your cab fare from airport or train stations by taking couple of transfers.
We recommend this place hands down with respect to location, features, amenities, cleanliness and safety. You could never go wrong with your decision to stay in this place.
Thanks Isabel for giving us an enjoyable accommodation experience in Barcelona.

It's even better than we expected, it is an exceptional centrally located apartment.
Excellent stay in very nice apartment. Isabel was very helpful with everything.
I have to mention Maria. She was there on our arrival and helped a lot explaining everything we need to know about apartment and location.
I would definitely come back to the same place and recommend this place to the rest of my family and my friends.

Perfect Perfect Perfect
This apartment is beautiful in an excellent location. Centrally located to restaurants, city centre, I mean everywhere! I am so glad I picked this apartment as the attention to detail on the internal decor is exquisite.
Isabel, the owner of the apartment is a lovely person and puts a lot of trust in her guest , and I hope future guest reciprocate.
You wil not regret staying in the apartment.

You would be staying right in the heart of Barcelona in a building occupied by Catalan residents. The apartment is in a very safe area in the heart of the Eixample district, the Quadrat d'Or (The Golden Square) of central Barcelona just a few blocks from areas such as Passeig de Gràcia, Rambla de Catalunya and Plaça Catalunya.
The entire area surrounding the apartment building is full of beautiful modernist buildings influenced by the modernist architects, chief among whom was Antoni Gaudí. The apartment is peaceful at night and at weekends.
Getting around
One of the most vibrant, cosmopolitan cities in Europe, Barcelona offers everything from sunbathing on the beach to beautiful modernist and gothic tourist sites!
Surrounded by mountains and sea, the city of Barcelona has a picturesque setting. The lovely sandy beach is safe for swimming and runs along the Mediterranean sea.
When it comes to eating out, there is an abundance of great restaurants offering a wide range of cuisine from simple tapas to Michelin-starred restaurants. There is also a good selection of bars and cafes where you can sip your drinks late in the evening and watch the world pass by or if you wish to burnt those extra calories at the gym there are a few just a stone's throw away from the flats!

From the Airport terminals 'el Prat':

You have three options from Barcelona (bcn) airport. The shuttle bus, the train or the taxi.
A taxi will whisk you directly to the door in about 20-25 minutes (traffic dependent). You pick up a taxi by joining the taxi rank queue in front of your arrival terminal.
The queues can appear long at peak times, but there are plenty of taxis and the queue moves very quickly. You shouldn’t have to wait for more than about 5 minutes, if at all.
The Aerobus is the Barcelona Airport express shuttle bus that takes you to and from the airport and the city centre.
The journey time from Barcelona Airport to Plaça de Catalunya is approximately 35 minutes depending on traffic conditions, allow and extra 5-10 minutes to get to the apartment.
The Renfe train service runs approximately every 30 minutes to and from Barcelona airport to the nearest station 'Passeig de Gràcia'. Travel time approximately 35-40 minutes, allow and extra 10-15 minutes to get to the apartment.
From the Cruise terminals:

The ports start at the foot of La Rambla (barcelona's most famous Boulevard, also often referred to as Las Ramblas) which runs through the heart of the city centre.
It should only take you around 20 minutes taxi ride from the port, traffic-dependent of course.
