Just one block from underground metro station connecting to 2 different metro lines ( blue line 5 and purple line 2). The bus V21 goes directly to beach area in Port Olimpic in 30 min or 15 min in taxi, full of beach restaurants and promenades.

This apartment was just perfect for our group of 5! In a very nice area with lots of well known takeaways as well as authentic restaurants nearby. The position is great and the host was very helpful too. Will definitely be visiting again.

Highly recommended
My wife and I spend 5 nights at the apartment. We were joined by relatives for 4 of those nights so we had 6 people for most of our stay. The apartment accommodated all of us very comfortably. There is plenty of room to sit around and talk or to prepare a light meal. The location was incredible with the spires of the Sagrada Familia visible through the trees of the park across the street. The sight at night was special. We were able to get to most of the places we wanted to visit by foot or a short taxi ride. There is a grocery store very near by and an Irish pub a few doors down. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Hans made us feel welcome and was very responsive to any questions we had. I had an issue logging onto WiFi upon arrival so I contacted him. He arrived within 5 minutes to solve my problem. All in all.....a memorable stay in a special city.

Fantastic location and host
Fantastic 3 bedroom apartment in an ideal location. I travelled with my 2 young children and my parents. This area is a bit more quiet and less touristy than the Ramblas / Barrio Gotic area, but with nice local restaurants nearby and great links by public transport (and the fact that it's next to the sagrada familia means you can never get lost coming home as everyone knows where that is!). We used both metro and bus easily; the only slight hassle being that several of the metro stations only have steps which was a challenge with a double buggy but lots of people offered to help. We ate locally several times and always had a good experience. There is a supermarket literally 6 doors away which has everything you need. And the square opposite (between the flat and the sagrada familia) has trees/benches and a kids playground - perfect!
The apartment itself is on a main road so the lounge and the front bedroom do get a reasonable amount of noise all night - me and my baby slept through it as we are good sleepers but it might be a problem for light sleepers. There are 3 bedrooms (2 double, both big enough that you can walk around 3 sides of the bed and 1 of them you could just about squeeze a travel cot in to, and 1 single with bunk beds). The rooms, including lounge, were smaller than I expected but perfectly adequate. Bathroom and kitchen (and overall decor) pretty old fashioned but worked fine - good powerful shower with hot water (no bath). Kitchen well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave,oven etc. Only complaint would be that there were no tea towels so we could never dry up after washing plates etc (and if there are 6 adults you might find it a bit tight e.g. there were only 5 wine glasses). Flat was very clean when we arrived, and Hans had managed to find a high chair and a travel cot for us (not new condition but I'm fine with that :)) The flat is up 1 set of stairs and you can barely fit 1 adult in the lift, certainly not a suitcase or buggy. There are 2 small balconies and an outside covered area for drying clothes.
Hans himself is absolutely lovely - super friendly and helpful on e-mail, arranged a brilliant taxi transfer from the airport (taxi had car seats installed), very welcoming and let us "check in" (drop off bags) early and then we went for lunch whilst they finished cleaning. He was there when we arrived and left to help with luggage. He gave us helpful tips on public transport, restaurants etc.
Yes I'd stay here again - I gave it 4 stars (not 5) because of the old fashioned decor and noise, but as long as you are expecting that I think it's a brilliant place to stay and Hans is an amazing host.

Beautiful apartment next to Sagrada Familia.
Our family of four (including 11 and 13-year-old daughters) stayed at Hans's apartment for five days this summer. It was a beautiful place for our trip to Barcelona. Despite being in a very popular area we found the neighbourhood to be very peaceful and quiet on that evening. That said, there are many lovely bars and restaurants very close by. There is also interested just steps outside the front door. It was very easy to access all of Barcelona as the Metro, bus stops and taxi rank are all within a minutes walk. We looked out onto the sagrada Familia every morning and the apartment has everything that we could wish for. Hans was a great host, he sent me lots of useful information before our arrival and was on hand to answer any queries that we might have during our stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment to all the travellers and look forward to visiting Barcelona again.

Excellent
Six of us just back from a fantastic trip to Barcelona. The apartment was excellent - very clean, beds and pillows very comfortable and contained everything we needed. The building was beautiful and very quiet. The surrounding area was lovely with the metro on hand to access other parts of the city. Hans was very helpful and the communication throughout excellent. Thank you! Please note that the metro closes at 12am.

Quiet city apartment in great location and view
We visited the apartment in early May when the lilac trees right outside the windows were in bloom. The smell of lilac filled the apartment. Our stay in the apartment was comfortable and the location was what we were looking for travelling as a family. It was within easy walking distance of a number of the popular neighborhoods and easy access to the Metro from Sagrada Familia. The park just outside the window really made it a special place to relax in the morning. Overall a great experience!

Great apartment accross La Sagrada Familia
My family enjoyed this vacation very much. Thanks to the beautiful location with a view of the park and La Sagrada Familia. Also were surrounded by great restaurants.

Lovely spot one block from Sagrada Familia & metro, comfy, secure, and spotless!
Great place! This apartment is one floor up from street level with a tiny balcony overlooking a small park with the Sagrada Familia cathedral just beyond. It's a vibrant, busy area during the day with lots of restaurants, fast-food places, and trinket shops, but it quiets down quite a bit after about 11 pm. We always felt safe.There's a grocery store just around the corner. The metro stop is a block away, making it easy to get around town. If you like to walk, though, the Gothic quarter and the main shopping area are just 2-3 km away, and we often just walked.
The apartment is exactly as in the pictures, bright, spotless, and well equipped. All the appliances worked, and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The beds were comfy, the internet was fast and reliable. The dining table is small - fine for the two of us, but very tight for six people. There's a certain amount of street noise in the front bedroom, but none at all in the other rooms.
The owner couldn't be better- quick and clear communication, and very prompt, warm, welcoming, and helpful. A million thanks to you, Hans and Jose!

Sagrada Familia - what a view!
Great location for the Sagrada Familia and the view from lounge, with no leaves on the tree was spectacular! Good restaurants and supermarket close by. Metro nearby so easy access to numerous places in Barcelona. Good apartment with plenty of room for up to 6 people. Hans and Jose were very helpful. Would stay here again.

Sagrada Familia neighborhood is also great area for nightlife, excellent restaurants and sightseeing. Also very close to the apartment is Avenue Gaudi, a delightful pedestrianised boulevard, that links the Sagrada Familia basilica with the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, the most representative civil building from the modernist period (also declared UNESCO World Heritage Site).
