Villa Sumer is a beautiful house in its own grounds with fabulous sea views overlooking the Bay of Palma. Palma, with its magnificent Cathedral, is only a 20 minute drive for sight seeing and shopping. It is 8 minutes from Arenal´s beautiful sandy beach, full of restaurants and bars. Within walking distance (about 10 minutes walk), there are restaurants, one supermarket and shops. Villa sumer is 20 The villa has a big, modern, fully equipped kitchen with a table for 8, TV, sofa, and a patio overlooking the private pool area. The kitchen leads into a large lounge area with sofas and another TV, beyond that is the veranda that overlooks the front garden. Amazing stay
We have recently come back from an 8 night stay in this beautiful villa and what an amazing holiday we’ve had.
The villa is beautiful and views amazing. It is well equipped and met all of our needs. It’s very spacious and had lots of areas to be able to relax in. The pool and it’s outside area was the highlight for us, the pool big enough for all 8 of us plus all the inflatables we brought, while there were lovely seating and sun bathing areas too.
The oven hob was tricky to work but when we mastered it we were pros. However we didn’t really cook, 10-15 minutes walk away we discovered a lovely little Italian which served delicious food and cheap beer. There was also a little complex 5 minutes drive away which also had some lovely restaurants. The nights we didn’t go out we had bbqs and this area was also well equipped. There is a bakery 5-10 minutes walk away from the villa for fresh bread and pastries.
The only downside was the shower in the master bedroom was slow to drain but with 2 other showers in the house this wasn’t a massive issue and there was no air-con in the lounge area but we barely spent anytime here so wasn’t a problem and all 4 bedrooms did have air-con if we needed a place to go and cool down.
We hired a car which was helpful for supermarket runs and exploring the beautiful island.
Finally Carmen has been an amazing host. Quick to answer any questions and we knew she was only a watsapp away if we had any problems during our stay.
We were all very sad to leave last week and I’m still wishing we were back there now.

Belle maison dans un agréable quartier résidentiel
Villa sur la côte au Sud de Palma (à environ 20 kms) idéale pour 6 personnes (2 couples + 2 individuels vu les chambres et la literie).
Les plus : les espaces collectifs intérieurs, les terrasses, la piscine et la vue sur la mer depuis les terrasses.

Beautiful home with superb views of the bay
The house is great with lots of space for friends and family, great views of the bay of Palma, a barbecue for grilling and a large pool to play in or relax and soak up the sun. The house is a short walk down to the badia blava observation deck with access to the sea. A fantastic experience overall, not to be missed!

Relaxing break
As previous viewers have stated, the villa is very spacious with lots of areas for group socialising but equally lots of places to sit quietly with a book. Bedrooms are all comfortable, some with a balcony and amazing views over the bay. The pool is a really good size, as is the seating area around it.
The kitchen is large and well equipped, with a big dining table, although if the weather is good (which, let’s face it, it is likely to be) you can’t beat sitting outside on a warm evening admiring the fabulous sunsets and view over the bay.
The local area is quiet, with restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. It is probably best to hire a car in order to explore this lovely island but there is also a bus into Palma if you want to leave the car behind.
A great villa for a relaxing holiday.

Bonita
Spacious beautiful villa with fabulous views to the sea and surroundings and stunning sunsets from the rooftop balcony.
The villa is stylishly presented with a large well equipped modern kitchen, cosy welcoming sitting room and comfortable bedrooms with great views and balcony.
The area is tranquil and has great walks along the coast with stunning views over the bay.
We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Look forward to revisiting soon.

Immaculately kept, beautiful situation, amazing views!
Disclaimer, this is my second visit to this house! I love the layout, it's got a fantastic sprawly quality that naturally gives the house multiple places for people to hangout and you don't all end up trying to relax in "the living room". The kids can collect downstairs, the adults have a choice of three balconies to sit on and watch the sun setting over the ocean (amazing!), the kitchen and living room are effectively (large) separate areas, there is the pool + lounge area outside and if you still need more you have patio + veranda at the front of the house! It's a great layout for a range of family groups (or a mixed group of families) and its very easy to get your own space.
You are well situated for the ocean and lovely walks out. You are fairly close to the city of Palma as well (and even closer to the airport). The house itself is about half way between two "hamlets" which are easily walkable and offer local shops and restaurants. Would definitely visit again!

Ein Traumhaus!
Es war super schön, das Objekt sehr gepflegt und es können locker 6 - 8 Personen dort gemütlich wohnen.
Carmen war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Kontakt mit ihr auch sehr unkompliziert.
Neben dem tollen Anwesen, einem großen Pool und der gigantischen Aussicht aus den oberen Zimmern auf La Palma besticht dieses Objekt vor allem durch Platz!
Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß, die Betten gemütlich.
Nebenan ein deutsches Nachbarspärchen - auch sehr herzlich :)

Fantastic well equiped house, in a beautiful location. Perfect for a family holiday.
Villa Sumer is a beautiful and well equipped house, in a stunning location, just 20 minutes out of the city of Palma. The location is extremely quiet, but you have a small town just on the doorstep and beaches and clubs a short walk or bike ride away. It's easy enough to get a bus (or taxi) in and out of Palma, but families might find it easier to rent a car from the airport.
The photos in Tripadvisor don't really do justice to the views, and from the house you get both lovely sunrises and sunsets (take your camera!) and during the day the bay is a stunning blue. There are lots of photo opportunities in the neighbourhood, but equally all the beaches in Mallorca are stunning, so it's not hard to say this!
The house has obviously been used as a family holiday home over many years and so it has a ton of trappings for keeping kids (and adults) entertained. There is a mountain of boardgames and books, large TV, and fast broadband (another reviewer commented on the broadband, but I think the house was upgraded to fibre internet since then, so it's now super speedy).
I personally really liked the layout of the house. Effectively the house easily separates into multiple areas, so it's not too hard for people to find their own space. Outside as well you have both a balcony, the main pool area, the front of the house and also an upstairs terrace (great for sun-downers), all of which allow kids (or adults) to slope off and find their own space.
Disclaimer: I have visited Villa Sumer twice now and have arranged a third visit later this year!

Fabulous Villa
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Sumer. There is so much space that even with 6 adults and a toddler it was easy to find some quiet space either inside or out. The facilities are great and the pool is fabulous, albeit a little chilly in September/October!
The owner Carmen was very helpful and friendly and responded very quickly to any queries.
I would advise hiring a car as there is not a huge amount nearby though there is a very nice little restaurant within 10 mins walk. Overall a great place for a family vacation

Beautiful house for family holiday
I stayed at Vila Sumer for our holidays with my partner and our two babies.
We had a lovely stay, as the villa was very spacious and clean. My in-laws came to visit and everyone had their own space, it never felt crowded. The house was really well equipped and this was extremely important to me as I have two 9 month old babies whom I decided to cook for every day.
There was enough markets every day in the neighbouring towns. I particularly liked two places: Santanyi and Campos which were a short drive from the villa.
There was a beautiful beach in Cala Blava that we liked going to.
It was important to have a car as we have small children and I would recommend it to anyone staying at the villa.
The pool at Vila Sumer is great and a really good size. We really enjoyed swimming there during the day. There's a lot poolside furniture so everyone could pic their perfect spot - I preferred mine in the sun, but there was a lot of shade too for my parents in law and kids.
The outside terrace had a table where we enjoyed having dinner, with a great view of the bay and the sea.
It was very much like having a home away from home, with all the things that you need.
Only criticism is that the wifi connection was not great and did not work in all parts of the house.
I would definitely recommend this place for holidays for families with kids.
Carmen and her sister were extremely helpful as I ordered many things for the babies (paddling pool, travel cots etc) which were delivered to the house. We couldn't have done without their help.
It is really nice to know that you have such a helpful and friendly host who really cares about the guests.

From the airport take the Llucmajor / Santany road. Exit at junction 13. Stay on the Cala Blava / Cala Pi road for 10 kilometers passing Cala Blava on the way. Half a kilometer after Sa Torre you will see a fountain with blue dolphins at the entrance to Bahia Azul (also known as Badia Blava). Enter Bahia Azul and at the T-junction turn left into Ossa Major.
