Lyon-Renaissance "Côté Jardin" associates contemporary design sensibility with the authentic and historical. This 50m2 apartment on one of the Pink Tower's terraces looks onto the hanging gardens,. This seventeenth-century dwelling is also known as the “Maison du Crible”. There are a number of reasons for this claim: it was an open and cosmopolitan city, the gateway to Italy and was the first to benefit from its artistic, architectural and intellectual influences which made it an excellent place to live. Old Lyon is therefore the... Read more

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The location in Vieux Lyon is just spectacular, the apartment very comfortable and a unique experience that was a joy to return to at the end of a long day of walking around Lyon. Patrick the owner was incredibly helpful and responsive both before we arrived and during our stay. Hope to visit again one day.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The location is perfect, beside or within walking distance of Roman, medieval and Renaissance buildings. The apartment is part of a renovated 17th. century complex, which was an added attraction. It is warm (very welcome in January), quiet and well furnished.

About the neighborhood
Get lost in Lyon's atmospheric Quartier Saint-Jean to discover the city's Old World charm. This medieval quarter north of the cathedral is filled with narrow cobblestone lanes and quiet little courtyards. Begin exploring around Rue du Boeuf and the Place Neuve Saint-Jean, a picturesque square filled with traditional restaurants. Then wander around the pedestrian streets of Rue Saint-Jean and Rue des Trois Maries. There are many inviting shops and cafés along the way. Continue until reaching the Hôtel de Gadagne at the Place du Petit Collège. This magnificent 15th-century mansion houses two excellent museums. The Musée d'Histoire de Lyon (History Museum) illustrates the history of the city-from antiquity through the Middle Ages and Renaissance up to the 20th century.
