This traditional design gives a great homely atmosphere. A wonderful feature is the traditional fire-place at the end of the sitting-room, perfect for chilly winter nights. There are large leather sofas furniture to curl up in front of the fire and watch some TV or a DVD. The living room leads through to the dining area. The dining area can sit up to 10 people around the farmhouse dining table. Selected pieces of antique furniture add to the villa's charm. The dining area then leads through to the provincial kitchen. The tiled kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to make large meals as well as an american fridge, microwave oven and a dishwasher. This luxury property combines the best of classic antique style with modern conveniences. The villa is also fitted with internet. There are 5 bedrooms in the villa, two double rooms, two singles and a twin room respectively. The double rooms are spacious and have plenty of storage room. The single and twin rooms are cosy and inviting. The 6th bedroom is a double room in a little cosy 'house' right next to the main house. In here you also find a shower and separate toilet. There are two bathrooms and separate W.C.s in the villa for your convenience. One of the bathrooms has a large sunken bathtub for a relaxing experience. The other a nice spacious shower. Outside, the surrounding area is just as impressive and vast as the villa. There are large fenced gardens, making it especially secure for children and animals. There is a large terrace with plenty of seating that looks out over the swimming pool. There is also a private barbecue area for your enjoyment. Les Oliviers is a beautiful and tranquil villa tucked away in the picturesque hills giving you plenty of space and privacy. There is a secure parking space and a car is suggested if you wish to explore the region from Monaco to St Tropez. There is an extra fee of 200 euros for final cleaning + 20 euros/person for linen to be paid on arrival.More

About the neighborhood
In 1948 Picasso came to live in Vallauris, where he stayed until 1955. During his time in the town, he created a great many sculptures and paintings including War and Peace, one of the major artworks of the period. He also developed a fascination for the two techniques of ceramics and linocuts. A freeman of the town, Picasso greatly contributed to the renaissance of the Vallauris pottery industry in the 1950s, this legendary golden age when everyone was a potter, including famous ceramicists Roger Capron and Charles Voltz. Many inhabitants still evoke his presence and that of his contemporaries (Françoise Gilot and her children Claude and Paloma, then Jacqueline Roque, his last partner whom he married amid the greatest secrecy at Vallauris town hall in 1961), the bullfights, exhibitions and visits by all kinds of famous people.
