The appartment is well fitted out, with some initial provisions provided. It is around a 20min walk into La Rochelle old town along the coastal path. Disappointed to be told the day before arriving the parking space was not available due to maintenance, meaning having to park on the main road. I specifically booked for the secure parking. No on site alternative offered despite a number of spaces not used all week, or compensation offered. Note there is a €50 cleaning fee if property not self cleaned before check out.

Fabulous apartment in a lovely location
We stayed in this lovely apartment for a week in mid May. The apartment is beautifully furnished with everything that is needed to self cater or enjoy a relaxed holiday. Elizabeth, the owner, was a great host, she provided lots of provisions to start us off including a bottle of local wine and a capsule coffee maker. She was there to greet us on arrival showing us around and how everything worked and provided lots of local information. There is a large furnished balcony with big potted plants and sliding screens to shade from direct sunlight, which was really appreciated at times, giving views out over the water. The apartment block is gated with private parking so provides good security and opens out onto the promenade with a park opposite, approx 20 mins walk through a park into the old port area of town one way and 15 mins walk to a shopping precinct with small supermarket and local shops the other way, there is also a little local bar just down the road overlooking the water. There were also bikes available. We found some delightful local fish restaurants in the villages along the coast and the bridge across to the Ile de Re is just a short drive way which gave us some fabulous days out. Thank you Elizabeth for making our stay so enjoyable, we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Comfortable, quiet, helpful owner, private parking, and good for visiting the town.
This is a comfortable, spacious apartment for two. The facilities are good. The owner supplies a lot of provisions, communicates well and is helpful. It was quiet. It is good to find somewhere with a parking space that is also close to town. There is a pleasant walk along the sea front and through a park to the town centre. If you can cycle, Elisabeth provides bikes which are convenient for visiting town. It has a large balcony with open space with trees and other apartments around it and from which you can see the sea though it's not a panoramic view. All in all a very good place to stay.

Perfect location, lovely host, well equipped apartment
This was the 2nd time we had stayed at Elizabeth's apartment and we would certainly return again. It is perfectly situated with a sea view from the balcony. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk into town to the port along the sea front . There is also a bus stop right outside the apartment not to mention the bicycles that Elizabeth will offer you. Elizabeth is a warm and generous host. To be met with a fridge stocked with immediate essential needs as well as gifts of wine and Pineau Charentais , this was a real delight after a long and tiring journey. The kitchen is well equipped and has a sizeable fridge and freezer as well as a dishwasher. The Nespresso machine is much appreciated. There is plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. We found the bed very comfortable. There are local shops about a 15 minute walk away. The secure parking is a real bonus.. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ELIZABETH

Inoubliable !!!
Propriétaire très sympathique, accueillante (corbeille de fruits, vins de la région etc..) nous attendait à notre arrivée.
L’appartement est juste parfait. Décoré avec goût, moderne, fonctionnel.
Tout peut se faire à pied, la voiture n’est pas indispensable.
La Rochelle est juste wouawww. Notre séjour était parfait.
Une chose est sure, nous reviendrons.

Brilliant apartment in wonderful location
A modern comfortable apartment with everything you could need & within a pleasant stroll into town. Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer which Elisabeth had stocked with all the necessities & a few luxuries, including wine & champagne. The balcony was great with good views. What really made our stay special was how caring & generous Elisabeth was & how she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you Elisabeth. Would definitely return.

Excellent choice
This apartment was perfect for our holiday in La Rochelle. Everything we needed was provided including much appreciated provisions. The secure and easily accessible parking space was a real bonus. However a pleasant 20 minute walk took us into town to a wide variety of restaurants. A lovely balcony with ocean view was perfect for outdoor dining. We used the well stocked kitchen on a couple of nights after our visits to the market. Elizabeth, our host was most welcoming and very helpful in giving information about the area. We can definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return.

The Apartment with a Mystery
Taking a break from the Le Mans 24hrs, we decided on La Rochelle and looked at reviews of accommodation within walking distance of the Old Town and found this lovely apartment. A view of the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony and within a 20 minute stroll of over 100 restaurants, cafes and bars located around the old harbour.
Strolling into town is a joy via the park and beach front. Then through the town walls and you will find a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. Elisabeth is the perfect host welcoming us with a bottle of champagne, all the necessities for our first breakfast and on one morning had delivered a baguette and pastries outside our apartment.
There is secure parking within the complex and a lift for those who cannot manage the stairs to the first floor. Me being a dedicated “petrol head” was very impressed with Patrick’s collection of model classic cars. Because we dined in two nights the kitchen facilities were second to none.
The feature of the sliding louvred screens on the balcony allowed many permutations for sun or shade. The black and white film decor throughout the apartment gives this a fascinating theme. We were also very lucky with superb weather which helped us to visit most the attractions in the area.
Top class accommodation and worth every euro!

Superb apartment
We were extremely comfortable in this lovely apartment. Elisabeth made us extremely welcome and we really appreciated the food and wine that she had left for us. It was so helpful after a very long journey to have that there. The bed was very comfortable indeed. It was great having a designated parking space in the gated area. We loved where the apartment is situated too as there are great parks and walks nearby. All in all it was a lovely break.

Bien situé et calme
Appartement ni trop près, ni trop loin du centre ville. En 10 minutes à pied, vous rejoignez la tour de l'horloge et la petite plage du centre ville en longeant la mer. La literie est bonne, les équipements sont suffisants et fonctionnent, mention spéciale pour la cafetière Nespresso. Propriété propre, calme, moderne. Voisins sympas.
Vue sur la mer du balcon.
Propriétaire adorable, à l'heure, très agréable, elle nous a prévu une brioche pour le petit déjeuner, du lait, des fruits, du champagne, du jus d'orange et des capsules de café ainsi que des yaourts et du beurre. Dans la salle de bain une trousse de secours, quelle attention ! En milieu de séjour elle nous a apporté des croissants et du pain et un mot avec plein d'adresses à voir dans le coin. Top.
Petit détail, la TV est réglée sur la langue anglaise, Il suffit de cliquer sur la touche audio en haut à gauche pour repasser en français.
Le parking privé et sécurisé est un vrai plus.
Seul bémol un petit problème d'humidité dans la salle de douche, signalé à la propriétaire pour qu'elle fasse le nécessaire.
