Townhouse
The house is our family holiday home and is situated in 'Parc des Impressionnistes', a small landscaped and gated development completed in 2006, which blends perfectly with the surrounding buildings of Honfleur and has the added advantage of a secure parking space. The lounge and both bedrooms have stunning views of the Seine estuary with the iconic Pont de Normandie in the distance. Immediately below is the historic lighthouse 'Le Phare de l' Hospice' which was painted by many of the Impressionists including Monet, Seurat & Boudin.
We are within easy walking distance of all that Honfleur has to offer, just 5 minutes from the old harbour or 'Vieux Bassin', down the cobbled 'Rue de L'Homme de Bois'. Despite its proximity to the town it is beautifully quiet and enjoys its own small front...

New, bright, spacious, good view of the river Seine, good parking.
The property is above the village up a narrow one way street, but no more than a 10 minute walk to town, with dozens of restaurants and shops. The property is part of a very new development, but done in a style that fits in with the very old properties near by. Two stories with a lower level with laundry facilities. The owner has equipped the property fully, down to French dictionaries, a big collection of DVDs, and lots of stuff on D-Day. Secure, off street parking was a big plus. Lack of internet was the only deficiency so I couldn't give it five stars. The tourist information office, in town, is helpful for this and many other things. The owner Sally is great to deal with.

Excellent location with all mod cons
Has the benefits of secure off road parking. Modern house with all facilities on site and 5 min walk to town centre. Nice garden area that is a sun trap in the afternoon. Sally was very easy to deal with and contact when needed. Good views across Pont Normandie.

Perfect Location - Home comforts
We visited Honfleur with our 26 yr old daughter and her boyfriend for a week and had a wonderful time.
First let me say that the best place to stay in this part of Normandy is without doubt Honfleur. It's the prettiest town, best choice of food and within easy reach to all coastal roads and motorways. It's a good base to access the beaches, Bayeux and over to Rouen but maybe a bit of a drive to Mont St Michel.
Honfleur is easy to walk around and the Bassin is a great place to sit out for a coffee on a warm afternoon. There are numerous restaurants but our clear favorite was La Tortue, just 50 mtrs from this townhouse, down the cobbled lane on the way to town.
Now, back to the townhouse. We arrived an hour early having caught the 6am Eurostar from London and a hire car from Paris. We bumped into the cleaners as they arrived and asked if we could leave our heavy cases inside. We were told that there was no room and they would not be able to clean but we could leave them in the front garden and hope it didn't rain. Very helpful indeed as the small garden faces the road directly outside.
Undaunted, we returned the cases to the car and set off to explore Honfleur, returning two hours later to check in.
The house is ideal for four. Two spacious bedrooms upstairs, with a separate wc and bath/shower. On the lower level there is another wc and spacious open-plan living dining area adjoining a nice kitchen. Views are lovely and the house is only a 5 minute walk into Honfleur, yet extremely quiet.
There is a TV and dvd with a very small selection of movies and a small library with plenty of interesting titles to choose from.
We had some difficulties with hot water for the first two days but once we got in touch with the owner, things got sorted quickly. Sally is a delightful person to deal with; friendly and welcoming.
This place soon feels like home and is very well worth a visit. We'd definitely go back the next time we visit Normandy.
A big thank you to Sally for making our holiday a huge success.

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our Townhouse. There was absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have left your luggage and I'm very sorry that you weren't allowed to do so. Our cleaners were otherwise very conscientious but in any case we have had different managers since the start of 2013.
The hot water heats up overnight and we found that under sustained use it might give out before the end of the day. Guests are now able to boost the boiler themselves so this is no longer a problem.

perfect
My wife, her adult daughter, and I spent a week here. It was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately the weather wasn't. But we still had a wonderful visit. After arriving in Paris on an early morning flight from the states, we picked up a rental car and headed to Honfleur. We arrived late morning and found Sue still cleaning. We were able to park our car in the unit's secure parking space with all our belongings, and immediately headed into town, to explore while Sue finished. She explained about the hot water problem, which was easily remedied by checking the circuit braker and re-setting it if it had switched off. We had absolutely no problem having as much hot water as we needed.
Nor was the lack of wi-fi a problem for us, since Judy's daughter had a Smart phone, and could connect with it. Besids, our idea of a vacation is to get away from all that.
The house, layout worked perfectly for us, and the location couldn't have been better - far enogh away from the town center to be quiet, but close enough to walk to every morning to pick up a fresh bagette, sit by the harbor for a coffee and pastry breakfast.
We used the house as a base for day trips to Ruen, Etretat, and Deauville.
The house was equipped nicely for cooking, although we only cooked two dinners. We recommend trying L'homme d'Bois but pass on Ill Parasole. Why eat mediocre/poor Italian food when in France?

Lovely house in a great location
The house was very comfortable and well located within Honfleur. It is well equipped with everything you need come rain or shine. The centre of Honfleur is only a few minutes walk away - with easy access to a huge variety of bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Wonderful
We spent a week here and it was marvellous. The property is very well appointed and was immaculate when we arrived. It is very well located although the drive up against the flow of throngs of tourists was scary the first time. It is within very easy distance of lots of restaurants and at least four boulangeries.
PS The fact that we dealt direct with the British owner for booking and payment made it very easy.

excellent house, excellent location
just spent a week in Honfleur, great place, and ideal to explore the area, and the war sites.
The accommodation was excellent, modern with great views, and the location to Honfleur harbour couldn't have been better 5 min walk, (or longer if you take in the shops and restaurants along the way)

Wonderful house in beautiful Honfleur
Your house was fantastic, easily the best holiday accommodation we've hired. All the ‘extras’ such as DVDs, books, lots of cooking utensils, etc made it a ‘home from home’; so different from the basic resources we’re used to in other rented properties. The location was brilliant; close enough to stroll down to the heart of Honfleur but far enough away to be quiet and relaxed. Also, what a great view over parkland and the Seine!
Thank you Sally. It’s been a pleasure dealing with you.

Honfleur - perfect holiday location - no need to travel elsewhere.
The Honfleur Townhouse proved to be all we were looking for after a stressful period, a place to relax & chill. The house is so well equipped it was truly a 'home from home' all you need is there down to a collection of good dvds.
The house is in a small quiet & secure development & Sally's instructions clear & easy to follow.
Being close enough to the wonderful harbour & town but removed enough to be quiet & peaceful with good views over the park & the Pont de Normandie. The private garden enjoys the sun for most of the day & good garden furniture supplied.
We had a great time & good weather & will definitely return

About the neighborhood
Honfleur is said to be the jewel of the Normandy coast. Impossibly tall, narrow 15th. Century houses line the edge of the much-photographed sheltered harbour or 'Vieux-Bessin'. Cobbled streets fan out in all directions with fascinating shops, galleries and enticing restaurants.

A bustling weekly Saturday market offers a wonderful variety of food and fresh produce as well as clothes, books and jewellery etc. and on the Wednesday there is an organic market around St. Catherine's church. This is also the location for the antiques market on the first Sunday of each month throughout the season. Honfleur is still an active fishing port and fishermen sell their catch from the quayside.

Honfleur has its own sandy beach (Plage du Butin), about 1km. away from the town. You can drive but there is a lovely walk along the side of the estuary past the beautiful gardens and the 'Parc des Personalities'. The fascinating Butterfly Farm lies below the house, close to the tennis courts and covered swimming-pool.
The town was adopted by the Impressionists in the late 19th Century and its artistic heritage is everywhere to be seen. You can browse the many interesting commercial galleries and try not to miss the Musee Eugene Boudin just two minutes walk from the house with its large and varied collection of Impressionist paintings.

The town is very much alive all year round with its many events and festivals and as with all French towns, you can get abundant information from the excellent local Tourist Office.
Getting around
Of course you have the secure parking space for your car on the development but the house is only a short walk from the town centre down the cobbled street. Close to the town centre the bus station has routes in all directions and we enjoy taking the bus to Le Havre, Deauville and Trouville or Pont Audemer when we don't feel like driving.
