Friendly English owners living locally offer free pick up from Carcassonne airport or train station. All dealings from enquiry stage through to meeting on arrival are directly with the owners.

Interaction with guests:Â We offer a free pick up from Carcassonne airport or train station. We live locally all year around and usually we meet all of our guests on arrival ( very occasionally we leave keys in a keysafe if guests are arriving late). On arrival we hand over keys and answer any questions, give restaurant recommendations, upcoming events and other things to do. Once guests have settled in we do not bother them unless they need our assistance. Where possible we take guests back to the airport or train station free of charge. We have many guests who come to buy a property in the region so we are always happy to assist with any advice and also have many repeat visitors.
Jason's son James met us at the airport and loaded his little car up with our luggage. We arrived at the apartment, and after a stair climb ventured into a fantastic apartment boasting a view of le Cite. It was great for us on a long weekend. The apartment facilities also included a washing machine, dishwasher, cooker and fridge if you were staying longer. The terrace was great for dining and wine (ing) !!!
The location is great with a 15 minute walk to le Cite or going the other way a 15 minute walk to the centre and canal.
James was fab, and took us back to the airport after our break.
We would heartily recommend the apartment.

Gorgeous flat in convenient location
We had a wonderful stay in Jason's flat near the Pont Vieux leading to the old city of Carcassonne. The location was also handy for walking to the shops and to the Canal du Midi where we had a mini-cruise. Jason picked us up from the airport and brought us to his property which was clean, spacious and boasted a large covered outside area with views onto the roofs and the cite. We stayed there with our two children and they loved it too.

Well located, fab apartment with a great terrace!
Perfectly located between the old Cite and the bastide - right by the old bridge. A great home from home - well equipped apartment, very spacious, modern interior, very well equipped kitchen with all mod cons. We stayed as a family of 4 for a week and it was very easy to all have our own space (teenage kids) if required, very good internet - fab for keeping kids happy! Although we hardly used the lounge spent all the time on terrace which was perfect spot - got morning sun so great to sit at breakfast and because it was covered provided a perfect evening retreat when back from a busy day out in the sun, to relax. The host Jason was great - even providing transfer to & from airport which was close by so very soon after landing was already enjoying the partial view of "la Cite" with a drink on the terrace. Would recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to enjoy the sights and experience the culture of the area, we didn't hire a car because it was so easy to get around on public transport if required such as the lake with a fab beach only 1 Euro. Would stay here again!

Perfect location for enjoying the best of Carcassonne
Our family of 5 spent 3 nights at Apartment Ney and it was perfect. Jason could not have been more helpful and the apartment was clean and well-equipped. The location meant that we could easily explore on foot both the new town and the Cite. Free parking close by and easy access to lots of shops and eateries. Highly recommended!

Excellent apartment in every way.
This is absolutely the perfect base to visit Carcassonne. Just by the old bridge across the river to the brilliant old town. The apartment has too double rooms. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. The kitchen diner is very well stocked and has everything you could need. Two things stand out the roof terrace with the view of the old town and Jason the owner who could not have been any more helpful, even taking us out on a trip as we didn't have car! This place is absolutely spot on and should not be missed in Carcassonne. Close to everything you need.

Apartment Ney a GREAT place to stay
Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious and very clean apartment.
The living areas are very well designated and suited our party of four and for a day or two , five people. The beauty of this particular elevated apartment is the covered terrace. We used it many times both during the day when it is sun filled and into the evening when the wondrous magical Old Cite is beautifully lit.
Jason is a great host, and his enthusiasm to transport us from the station was so appreciated.
The location halfway between The Old Cite and the main town centre , with its great shops and food stores made Apartment Ney the ideal spot.

First rate, extremely well equipped.
Apartment is in excellent location, clean, comfortably furnished, very well equipped (washing m/c, dishwasher, picnic items). We were very happy to stay there and would recommend the apartment to anyone.

An extremely comfortable well located lovely apartment with a lovely view over the rooftops
We booked a short break in this apartment. We chose the top floor for the balcony and were delighted with the outside space it afforded. The roof over it meant it was shaded to use it at any time of day and it was particularly delightful at night with the floodlit view of the castle. A lovely private space. The location on the road leading down to the pedestrian bridge Pont Vieux meant there was hardly any traffic and as both bedrooms are at the back overlooking a small courtyard it was very peaceful to sleep at night.
Very well equipped with everything one could need for a holiday and very clean and nicely kept. Jason, the owner collected us from the airport and was so pleasant and friendly, we tried a couple of the restaurants he recommended and the food was delicious. Carcassonne, it goes without saying, is a lovely spot for a holiday

Superb Apartment,excellent location
After searching for weeks for a quality , well located apartment, we came across Apartment Ney owned by Jason Carr .
We were collected from the airport by a very pleasant Jason and taken the short journey to the apartment.
The apartment was everything we had hoped for and more. It is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. From the comfortable bed to the lovely quality towels . The view from the balcony of Carcassonne Castle topped it all. A truly wonderful short break .

Apartment is in prime position five minutes walk from main square with food markets three times a week, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. Two minutes walk to the river Aude with lovely walks along the river and best views of the Medieval Cite. Carcassonne Cite is a comfortable 15 minute walk over the medieval foot bridge (Pont Vieux) which is the nicest approach to the Cite. Cite is full of restaurants, shops and museums.
Canal du Midi is ten minutes walk from the apartment and we would recommend having dinner on one of the boats along the canal.
Below the apartment is an Artisan chocolate maker, Philippe Boccardi who sells his chocolate in the shop.
Getting around
From the apartment you can easily walk to all the main attractions in Carcassonne or take a train to places such as Toulouse, Narbonne or Collioure.
The bus station is two minutes walk from the apartment and you can get buses all around Carcassonne and some villages.
In the region itself there are some attractions such as Cathar castles where a car is necessary although there are companies which offer tours.

Carcassonne has excellent transport links with its own airport and other major airports such as Toulouse and Montpellier within 1.5 hours drive.
The apartment is ideally located between the town centre and the Medieval Cite with the bus station literally round the corner (2 minute walk) with buses to the airport for all flights. By car the airport is a ten minute journey from the apartment.
The train station is a ten minute walk from the apartment with regular direct trains to major cities such as Toulouse, Bordeaux, Montpellier, Barcelona.
There is 15 minute unloading bay in front of the apartments and then there is free parking next to the river (two minutes walk). Also a large underground inexpensive car park below Square Gambetta (one minute walk from apartment).
