Very nice bed and breakfast in an old master house. Large comfortable room, parking space, near old town. Breakfast served in the park. Only minus points: average breakfast, no frech orange juce, no home made marmelade, no expresso coffee, no cooked eg dishes. Toilet not isolated from the bedroom.

Die Lage ist super, die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Appartements sind sehr schön und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück hat 5 Sterne Niveau. Merci

A gem of a place to stay. We were here as a family of five in three rooms for a single night. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious and bright. The addition of a small kitchenette in each room meant we were able to chill water and food for our onward journey and to enjoy refreshments on arrival. The beds were huge and extremely comfortable. continental breakfast was set out for us in the garden and was really lovely. The rooms are about a ten minute walk from the centre of the town and its many places to eat. The lady who served and greeted us could not have been nicer. Highly recommended.

We stayed here on our way home from our stay in the South of France. We were given a very warm welcome by the proprietiors. The romm was excellent. Very comfortable. The gite is not far from Troyes centre. Well in walking distance, where you have a large variety of eating establisments. The continental breakfast is very good. With the fresh bread being left at our door. We enjoyed it so much we have re-booked for May next year for another planned journey in France.

Beautiful room, really comfortable bed, great shower. I had a good nights sleep which is unusual for me as it normal takes me a day or two to settle. Owner was very accommodating and answered my various emails promptly. Breakfast of bread and croissants was a lovely idea together with cheeses, butter, milk, orange juice all provided in our fridge in the room. Lovely fluffy towels. The only thing I would ask for is a kettle as we used the coffee machine for hot water and the tea tasted off coffee but only a very minor problem. House is opposite a car wash and supermarket but this did not effect our stay.

Certes la demeure est très belle et la chambre aussi. Néanmoins, pas trop conquise.... Chambre donnant sur un car wash avec des infrastructures plutôt bruyantes. En cas de chaleur, impossible de dormir la fenêtre ouverte. Quant à l'airco, son bruit est tel qu'il ne permet pas non plus de dormir. Autre bémol....Aucune séparation chambre/salle de bain et surtout chambre/toilette. Même en couple, on souhaite un minimum d'intimité aux toilettes. Enfin, une formule petit déjeuner type "gîte". On vous apporte le tout mais c'est à vous de préparer et de faire la vaisselle. Pour couronner le tout...Le paiement bancaire en panne....Curieux comme ça n'arrive jamais dans les magasins. Le prix: 130 € pour une nuit....excessif pour le service. Terminons par une note positive: un parking sécurisé.

We had a great stay here, the owner is very friendly and speaks a little English. We loved the morning bread basket hanging on our door each morning, it arrived at 8am and contained lovely croissants, fresh bread and pastries. Our little fridge was full of small cheeses, butter and jam as well as water, milk and orange juice. There was also a lovely coffee maker in the room which can also boil hot water for tea. There is a supermarket opposite the house which is useful if you want to buy a few bits so that you can have lunch or supper in your room. The room itself was very nice, all very clean and fresh. The house is approximately a 10 minute walk into the centre of Troyes, a lovely town with lots of restaurants. We would love to return one day.

L'accueil est ok mais malheureusement ce n'est pas une maison d'hôtes du tout. Il n'y a qu'un minuscule bureau pour l'accueil, pas de salle commune, pas de salle de petit déjeuner qui doit être pris dans la chambre et pas vraiment d'endroit détente dans le jardin qui n'est pas vraiment entretenu comme on pourrait le croire en regardant les photos. Les propriétaires n'habitent pas là et pas possible de rencontrer les autres hôtes. La chambre est sympa mais pas aboutie du tout. La baignoire tête a tête est une super idée, malheureusement elle est déjà trop petite pour une seule personne. En outre, si vous allez dans cette demeure en couple attendez vous à une chose tout à fait inattendue, les toilettes sont surélevées comme le reste de la salle de bain et à une vue en en penchant un poil la tête sur le lit, il n'y a aucune porte et donc aucune intimité. Cette maison à du caractère mais est très mal située. En ouvrant la fenêtre cela donne sur un lavage de voiture et un supermarché.

We stopped at La Demeure de Charme in Troyes on our way down to the South. Our double room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable with all the facilities you could ask for including onsite secure parking. The Hotel is a short ten minute walk to the center where there are a good number of bars and restaurants to choose from. We took our breakfasts (which are delivered to your room) outside into the back garden and ate them there in beautiful sunshine. Couldn't fault the place and would definitely visit again.

Auf der Rückreise vom Baskenland nach Norddeutschland haben wir Troyes für unseren Stopp gewählt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der intakte mittelalterliche Stadtkern mit den vielen schönen Fachwerkhäusern ist wirklich beeindruckend. Ebenso gut war unsere Wahl, 2 Nächte in La Demeure de Charme zu verbringen! Wir hatten es wegen der sicheren Parkmöglichkeit hinter verschlossenem Tor ausgesucht. Zwar war die tatsächliche Lage an einer befahrenen Straße gegenüber einem Supermarkt und Autowaschanlage etwas überraschend, aber unser nach vorn gelegenes Zimmer hatte ausgezeichnete Fenster, so dass wirklich nichts zu hören war. Das ganze Haus (aus dem 19. Jahrhundert) ist wunderschön hergerichtet, fast alles in weiß, mit romantischem Touch aber sehr dezent. Unser Zimmer hatte auch ein traumhaftes, erhöhtes Badezimmer mit versunkener Badewanne - etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig fanden wir lediglich, dass selbst die Toilette zwar dezent in einer Nische untergebracht aber ebenfalls ohne Tür war! Sehr angenehm dagegen das Konzept, selbst das Frühstück in der Miniküche zu machen, die sich in einer Ecke des großzügigen Zimmers befand und wirklich alles bot, was wir brauchten. Auch alle Zutaten fürs Frühstück waren im Preis enthalten, der Kühlschrank bestens bestückt mit Milch, Wasser, Orangensaft usw. Sabine, die Gastgeberin, fragte mehrfach, ob wir besondere Wünsche zum Frühstück hätten und stellte uns dann eine leckere Käseauswahl zusätzlich in den Kühlschrank. Besonders charmant fanden wir den Brotkorb, der morgens an der Tür hing, mit einer wundervollen Auswahl an Baguette, noch warmen Croissants, Brioches und dem kleinen süßen Gebäck, das man in Frankreich morgens isst. Auch der kurze Fußweg von kaum 10 Minuten zur historischen Altstadt hat uns nicht gestört, da wir ja zum "Häuser gucken" gekommen waren. Insgesamt eine rundum gelungene Reiseunterbrechung, die wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen können. Danke, Sabine!!
