Unique accommodation in a beautiful setting
My wife, daughter and I stayed for 7 days, and loved the private chateau, with accommodation on 2 floors, the only other residents within the chateau being the owners, who were very friendly and helpful. Probably only fair to point out there are a number of steps up to the first floor (effectively our ground floor) - not a problem for us, but might be an issue for some. Other than that, the rooms are absolutely lovely, large and well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and extensive. Lovely private garden area for us, where we could sit and read and have BBQs, together with shared swimming pool and games room, plus woods and river walk. All very peaceful. Very good supermarket close by, and good base for exploring the chateaux. A fabulous holiday, and we would have no hesitation in returning here again!

Beautiful chateau
This is a stunning chateau apartment set in wonderful sweeping grounds - woodland, wildlife and tranquility abound. The swimming pool is lovely - well maintained and used a lot by us in the heat of the summer. The chateau is well equipped - very good kitchen facilities - and a large fridge freezer which is always a bonus. The only drawback for us was that it wasn’t terribly practical - the apartment is set over two distinct floors and 35 steep winding steps from ground level . The children’s bedrooms are another 20 odd steps up and the original thunder box toilets are on the staircase landing separate from apartments. I’m sure this is all made apparent from the layouts provided on Tripadvisor but we felt not terribly secure with the children sleeping so far away from us so my husband ended up sleeping upstairs with them! The Loire valley is beautiful and the chateau is a haven - I loved waking up to those views. My 4 year old really enjoyed her stay - and did manage the stairs well and fell in love with the chateau cat (lives outside). A one off magical experience.

A real taste of noble luxury
A week was not enough! A wonderful experience of living in a real chateau while visiting other castles and chateaux throughout the Loire Valley. The apartment felt like we had the chateau to ourselves, including the huge park to walk through, along the river l'Idre to the mills (and a swimming pool, because swimming in the river might have been a bit too rustic.) Elegant, yet comfortable. Definitely a place to return to.

Magnificent!
We loved our stay here and wish we were still there. The apartment is spread over 2 floors with superb views of the river and grounds. We saw a deer in the woods 3 times which our kids were delighted about. The apartment is well equipped with full kitchen and utensils, BBQ, outdoor seating, DVDs which we watched, lots of books, comfortable beds and very very spacious rooms. We used the bikes, the swimming pool, played table tennis and had a wonderful time. We visited a few chateaux in the area & then gave up - we were staying in one which was far nicer!

Trip to the past
Although Domaine du Breuil in Monts is strategically placed to visit the superb Loire Valley Castles, it is not the only raison that it is a special place. It gives you the opportunity to enjoy an imposing building erected in another time which maintains its essence but having the comfort of the XXI century, you have the pleasure to live on a “château” which is itself a privilege. The place offers independence, spacious rooms for exclusive use, fireplaces, wood floors, remarkable high ceilings, nice fabrics and upholsteries and a harmonious and careful blend of the old and the new everywhere. And light! Lots of huge windows make you feel to be part of the landscape of the forest with ancient trees, meadows and the river that make up the domain where you can go for a walk and discover the rest of dependencies adapted with the same care. If you are looking for peace, independence, aesthetic, nature and a huge cultural offer far from a conventional vacation rental, it would be difficult to find a better place.

A wonderful experience
Grand and stylish apartment within a chateau surrounded by beautiful woodland with great facilities. Large pool (shared access but we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves most of our stay). Short drive to various picturesque chateaux. Would definitely recommend.

Great manoir in grounds of Chateau, lovely quiet place with idyllic views
We stayed in the Manoir, the old house in the grounds. It sleeps 15 and is well appointed with high quality equipment and furnishings. Very relaxing with a lovely pool, and the River Indre at the bottom of the garden. Close to all major chateau and vineyards. We had 2 weeks of lovely weather at the end of the season.
