We have owned and have been renting this property every year for the past 30 years. Based in the Chateau village of Azay-le-Rideau in the heart of the Loire valley, the village and the area offers a wealth of interesting and exciting places to visit and things to do. The house is in walking distance of a range of great restaurants and cafes, shops and boulangerie. Fully equipped and furnished with 3 bedrooms it sleeps 6. Telephone with Wifi and broadband access. Fully equipped Kitchen, Dishwasher, Microwave, Washing machine, Tumble dryer. Large lounge with DVD Player and Satellite Television with main English Channels BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Ch4 and Ch 5. Pets welcome. Highchair and cot available. Downstairs WC and separate upstairs toilet. Courtyard garden for outside eating. Nigel’s house is always a lovely stay. There were six of us the first visit (son, wife and grandchildren) and only the two of us this time and both visits were excellent. Nigel is always very helpful.

About the neighborhood
Azay-le-Rideau is a beautiful and typical French village which is around 10 minutes’ walk along a level and very quiet road with a footpath. Whilst dominated by the beautiful Chateau, the village is very lively and vibrant. There is a wide and varied selection of high quality restaurants and more traditional French cafés to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a large variety of shops from Pharmacies to souvenir shops and wine merchants. However Azay-le- Rideau is not just a tourist venue but also a working town and that means there is the range of genuine French shops. There is an excellent Hypermarket no more that 5 minutes drive from the house on the main road to Tours and also a typical French market in the village every Wednesday and Saturday.
