Monet is one of five delightful holiday apartments inside the historic house of ‘Val Rive’. This one-bedroom, first-floor apartment is well equipped and furnished to a high standard in the Bréton style. The accommodation consists of an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, a large bedroom and shower room/WC. It affords a beautiful view of the Rance river, and there is also a large, shared, terrace garden complete with patio area to enjoy. Private, off-road parking is situated next to the property.

Very relaxing Stay and well appointed.
Riva apartments overlook the Old Bridge and we stayed a fortnight on the first floor.which gave us a great view of the Bridge and River. The apartment had everything needed for self catering though we ate out most evenings mostly down at the port area. The apartment was very well furnished with a good bathroom. It is a great place to stay with plenty of things to do around the area if you have a car.

Great stay
The apartment and it’s surroundings was superb and made the stay so enjoyable! The thought that went into all we needed within the apartment was excellent.
The view of the bridge and the comings and goings was fascinating and gave some entertainment!
The area stunning we biked along the river , walked and explored in gorgeous weather!
We also sat and chilled in the garden if we come back to this area we would definitely use this property again and highly recommend it!

Perfect place to stay
Stunning location.

Second home!
My wife and I stayed in Monet for two weeks and enjoyed what felt like a very relaxing stay. We rarely return to the same place for holidays however this is the fourth time we have taken a break at Val Rive. The apartments are so roomy, comfortable and well equipped that a visit here feels like returning home!
The close proximity of Dinan, Dinard, the coast and the countryside surrounding the River Rance encourages walking and we estimate that we covered over 100 miles on foot during the fortnight there.
A number of supermarkets are a short drive away and we found the fruit, vegetables and meat on sale to be of superior quality to that fund locally at home in the UK.
Another benefit of staying in or near Lehon is the Marmite restaurant which is within about 100 metres from Val Rive. The food is wonderful and the fixed price menu very affordable.
Final comment is of the enjoyment of watching day visitors, runners, bikers and hikers arriving in the village by the narrow river bridge and stopping to take photographs and otherwise enjoy the views.

Relaxing area and lovely scenery.
Our lodgings were on the first floor, no lift, but wide stairs. Everything here that we needed. Wonderful outlook to the River Rance and an idyllic 2km walk along the river to Dinan Port. Many walkers and cyclists and few cars through the area, but no noise at all. Short drive to a supermarket in Dinan and a short drive to Lanvallay where there is a washer/dryer facility at the local supermarket. There is a washing machine at the unit which is shared with other units, as is the hair dryer and ironing board - worked well for us.

Wonderful holiday in this delightful property
This is a very well equipped apartment in a lovely quaint town. The English caretaker was on hand and really helpful. The vieux port of Dinan has lots of great eating places. Sadly the restaurant Marmite next to the property seems to have closed.

About the neighborhood
The riverside paths in front of Val Rive lead into the tranquil Breton countryside – perfect for walking, cycling or taking a picnic – and to the scenic river harbour of ‘Port de Dinan’ where you’ll find many restaurants and brasseries. From here you can walk up the pretty cobbled street of Rue Jerzual, to the centre of Dinan. The Rance flows into the sea between Dinard and St Malo, and these picturesque seaside towns are well worth visiting too.
For those wishing to swim there is a 25m public swimming pool (outdoor heated, with waterslide) less than 5 minutes walk away. Léhon also has a tennis club, with four indoor courts and one outdoor court. Other activities in the area include: golf, hiking, fishing and many watersports.
Getting around
There is much to explore in the surrounding region: rugged beaches, ruined castles, beautiful churches, and town squares with delightful cafes serving their local specialities – crepes, galettes (pancakes), butter cakes, shellfish, oysters from nearby Cancale, and Breton cider.
A hire car is the easiest way to get around, but bicycles are great fun too. You might choose to cycle to Dinard along the old towpaths of the Rance valley that help make up the ‘voies vertes’ (green ways) network. Alternatively, you could rent a boat, canoe or kayak for an hour or two on the Rance.

How to get there
Val Rive is located in Léhon village, on the outskirts of Dinan in Brittany. There are many nearby ferry links into Brittany and northern France from the UK and Ireland, the closest being St. Malo approximately 25 miles away.
At Dinard (less than 15 miles away) there is a small international airport that is served by both Ryanair and Aurigny airlines. A larger international airport at Rennes (approximately 37 miles/45 mins away) offers flight routes by Fly Be, Aer Lingus, Air France, and others.
