A beautiful barn conversion with heated swimming pool & Sauna nestled in it's own 10 acres of Dordogne countryside near Brantome Set within beautiful French countryside this 2 bedroom gite with additional mezzanine bedroom and heated pool contains all the character features to be expected. This includes original oak beams, woodburning stove, but also contains all modern appliances such as free Wi Fi, for those that like to keep in touch with the world. With many outdoor activities on your doorstep such as kayaking, cycling, fishing and walking there is plenty to do for all the family. We also have our own Zip line in our woods that the kids love. With tracks and paths leading straight from the property it is a perfect place to come for keen cyclists and walkers. There are many local markets in the area, the main one being Riberac of which is the largest in the Perigourd. Here you can taste the delights of the local food and wine and enjoy a coffee in the many French cafe's as you while away the day. Or you can relax by the pool surrounded by fields of sun flowers while enjoying a locally sourced wine. All pool furniture is provided for the comfort of all our guests. There are also local leisure beaches, rivers and golf courses all within a short drive. The local village of Grand Brassac is only 1.5 miles away where you will find a cafe / shop. There is a lovely walk through the woods to get to the village or 10 min by bike. Brantome and Aubeterre sur Dronne, one Frances most pretty villages, are just 25 min away by car with many restaurants and lovely shops and antique stores. The English owners live on site with their 3 horses and 2 dogs and are there to help with any questions you may have and to help you have the best possible holiday. Accommodates up to 5 guests. More

We had a fantastic week of October sun. Lots to do within a 30 min drive and enough to keep the kids entertained on the days we didn't venture out.

Very peaceful location, dog friendly, with a great pool area and surrounded by lovely walks. The owners are super friendly and helpful and the gite spacious with it's own garden area. Easy access to Brantome and the surrounding areas. We and a lovely holiday and would visit again.

Situated in the rolling hills of Nouvelle Aquitaine, this beautiful property has all you need. The gite is very well equipped & the heated swimming pool is a fantastic place to relax in the sun. The many small villages & towns in the surrounding area have a variety of markets & offer plenty of areas to explore. Lizette & Craig are brilliant hosts, more than happy to offer great advice on good local restaurants, walking & cycling routes, along with places of interest to visit. The dogs Poppy and Jacko and the 2 cats are great fun. It's nice to hear the horses in the field. We really had a great time and don't usually return to the same place but we would return here. .

We enjoyed the local area, walking the tracks around the gite. We also visited the local towns, exploring the architecture, enjoying good lunches in lovely shaded squares. A good day was finished with a swim in the heated pool, a lovely way to end a good day.

Very nice Gite in a very peaceful location . Surrounded by fields of sunflowers. A lovely pool with a good selection of sunbeds and outside chairs . The Gite itself was very characterful. Some pretty towns about half an hour away by car.

Great place to stay we really enjoyed it, gite is spacious with a decent size kitchen area,2 large bedrooms with comfortable beds, nice area to bbq at back of property. pool is large and warm and there are plenty of sun loungers and seats available , plenty of attractions locally and a little farther afield, brantome was fantastic and bergerac was an easy drive, lots of morning markets through the week in the local villages. would I visit again? highly likely I think:)

The Gite is tucked away in the countryside just outside the village of Grand Brassac, Lizette was there to welcome us and showed us into this beautiful Gite which was spacious with two large bedrooms. The swimming pool was heated and available every day. This was a fabulous place to stay whilst visiting Grandchildren who live in Montagrier. We cannot recommend this Gite highly enough so try it for yourself you won't be disappointed!

This lovely gite was perfect for our needs. Comfortable with our own little garden to relax in.loungers by the pool too. Ideally situated to visit the lively market town of Riberac and the smaller but vibrant village of Verteillac. Only an hour from Bergerac airport. We really enjoyed our stay and Lizette and Craig were helpful and friendly. The pets made us welcome too. We can thoroughly recommend this charming gite.

We spent four nights in this property in June and found it to be very peaceful. Apart from the owners, we were the only people there as the other property was not let at the time, so we had sole use of the beautiful pool. The bed and sofa were comfortable and there was everything we needed for our stay. The private garden area is upstairs, though the accommodation is on the ground floor, so people with limited mobility may find that difficult. There is no shop or restaurant within walking distance, but this was not a problem as it is not far to drive. There are walks from the door in various directions and plenty to do in the area if you want to explore by car.

About the neighborhood
There are many activities to enjoy in the area from kayaking ( there are many places to hire Kayaks ) to fishing in the local river to walking and cycling the tracks that lead straight from the property. We provide bikes for our guests free of charge so you can discover this beautiful area by bike, or maybe just pop to the local shop for your daily bread. There is a local leisure beach just 10 min away in Lisle but also a very large leisure lake at La Jemaye (25 mins drive) this is set in a natural habitat within woodlands. In the summer life guards are on duty and there are specially supervised swimming areas. other facilities include, picnic benches, pedalos and cafes. There is also a small adventure park 30 min drive where you can also learn Archery. There are many beautiful towns within a 2 hour drive such as the famous coastal resort of La Rochelle, Sarlat and Bordeaux. Not forgetting our more local historical Bergerac 1 hour drive away.
