Leading from the impressive fluted Corinthian pallisters flanking the main door entrance into Montahban House, you arrive at the ground floor apartment. On entering the hallway to the right, leads to a spacious open plan kitchen/living room. There is a table and chairs so you can enjoy sharing a meal. This room includes a 32 inch flat screen TV with sky and free wi-fi, a double sofa bed, a side and coffee table and a lofty corniced ceiling and original sash window. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven and a microwave with lots of kitchenware to cook your meals. The hallway leads firstly to the family bathroom - bathtub with an amazing overhead waterfall shower. Secondly to the master bedroom. This bedroom includes a double bed, two bedside tables with drawers, a fitted wardrobe and a sash window. Lastly the bedroom to the rear, includes a small double bed (4ft) suitable for one adult or two small children, a bedside cabinet, clothes rack and sash window. Towels, bed linen, soap and shampoo are provided. For stays over 7 nights, we offer a weekly housekeeping service and provide complimentary tea and coffee. Guests have full access to the entire apartment and there is a communal garden and laundry facilities on-site. There is parking subject to availability We are available by phone and are sometimes on site. We provide a Meet & Greet service until 8pm, self-check-in after 8pm. We are always on call for our guests should you wish. We appreciate privacy is one of the most important aspects of your break away from home so we want our guests to enjoy their time and come and go as they please. Should you need anything from, recommendations on where to go or dine, we are always on hand for recommendations. Please note, under the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972, we ask guests to complete a Guest registration form before arrival. This may also require us to ask for ID. While we want you to enjoy your stay, our apartment is not a party house. We have residents who live here and we want to respect their home and not provide them with any reason to make complaints about our apartment . Please be respectful of the neighbours and do not play loud music after 22:00 or cause disruption to people who live in this block. If the purpose of your stay is to party after hours this apartment would not be suitable. Only guest who have paid to stay, are permitted inside the property. About the neighborhood
Whalley Range was one of the first suburbs created in Manchester and Montauban House was built in 1850 and was one of three of the first villas housing prominent families. It is located less than 3 miles to the M60 and M56 motorways and 1.5 miles to Manchester City Centre, 1.8 miles to Old Trafford Cricket Grounds and 2 miles to Manchester Utd. Tesco Express is a short walk on Upper Chorlton Rd just past the bus stop and there is another Tesco Express on Withington Rd, where you can find Whalley Range Village with a selection of independent shops and takeaways including a Subway. There is also an Asda Superstore and a variety of independent and high street shops on Hulme High Street less than a mile away on the bus route into Manchester.
Getting around
The bus stop is located on Upper Chorlton Road and is a 150 metre walk with a regular bus service going to Manchester City Centre which is only a 15-minute journey. From here you can also take the bus to Chorlton.
