Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking.
Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain’s Olympic beginnings”. Stratford on Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. Cheltenham and the famous racing festival lie 15 miles away.
